🤔 If you started a New Year's resolution at the beginning of January, then statistically speaking, you've probably already given up on your goal. Here's one thing that I think screws people's progress up, which is that they get into these all-or-nothing mindsets and do extreme stuff.
😶 People will get into a six-week challenge where they will work out 6 days a week and do 2-a-day workouts by doing cardio in the morning and strength training at night. That works for some people, but that doesn't work for most beginners, at least not in the long run. Instead of doing something unrealistic, I recommend taking baby steps.
📝 If you haven't worked out in years, try working out once or twice weekly. Given everything you have going on, I want you to be honest about how often you should work out. Once you've determined how often you want to work out, you'll stick with that for about 4 to 6 weeks. At the end of those weeks, you'll evaluate whether or not you accomplished that goal.
😇 If you achieve your goal, you can decide whether you want to continue this habit. You can also choose whether or not you wish to increase the difficulty of said habit. So, you'll increase the number of days you work out. The goal here is to make your goal sustainable, and you'll get far better results in the long run if you take these baby steps.
