The Basics Class is a six-week NAMI program for families of children age 5–17 with mental health conditions and/or learning challenges. It is taught by NAMI-trained facilitators with lived experience raising a child with both a mental illness and a specific learning disability.

What is the Living Room?

Current UT Health San Antonio patients (ages 11 years and older) can participate in brief counseling and skills coaching at times when they are in need of support for high emotional distress by using the Living Room at the UT Health Behavioral Health and Wellness Center. The Living Room is available on a walk-in basis or by phone during regular business hours. For more information about the Living Room, call 210-450-7222.
