South Texas TMS, LLC TMS - Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for treatment of Major Depressive Disorder. This is a potent TMS stands for "transcranial magnetic stimulation."

Our mission at the Family Wellness Center is to provide quality mental health services to children, teens and families utilizing professional support services from various mental health disciplines. The Family Wellness Center’s practitioners encourage independence and the development of a more autonomous sense of self. At the same time they encourage the establishment of intimacy and trust within

families. Our clinic is affiliated with helpful referral sources for the following needs: neuropsychological assessment, speech and language issues, occupational and physical therapy, general pediatric medicine, pediatric neurology as well as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. NeuroStar TMS Therapy is a new treatment cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for patients suffering from depression* who have not achieved satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant treatment. TMS Therapy is a treatment that can be performed in a psychiatrist's office, under their supervision, using a medical device called the NeuroStar TMS Therapy system. NeuroStar TMS Therapy is:
1. Non-invasive, meaning that it does not involve surgery. It does not require any anesthesia or sedation, as the patient remains awake and alert during the treatment
2. Non-systemic, meaning that it is not taken by mouth and does not circulate in the blood stream throughout the body. The typical initial treatment course consists of 5 treatments per week over a 4-6 week period, for an average of 20-30 total treatments. Each treatment session lasts approximately 40 minutes.

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of our second Neurostar system. Utilizing this treatment for our patients over the past decade has been a remarkable and rewarding experience, yielding outstanding results for numerous individuals. South TX TMS is now equipped to support a greater number of community members struggling with Major Depression. Furthermore, we are excited about the FDA indication for OCD and Adolescent Depression. We appreciate Lindsey Delosier, Neurostar Traveling Practice Development Manager, for meeting with our TMS coordinator Judi and myself today. This meeting provided a valuable opportunity to enhance our skills as we move into 2025. If you are struggling with Depression, Anxiety, or OCD, please do not hesitate to contact us. Hi Folks! Last day of early voting! If you are the proud adult child of a senior citizen who is disabled or has trouble getting around don’t let that stop you from getting them to the polls! You can park in the designated spot (look for the orange cones) and call the posted phone number. A nice volunteer will come out to help your senior with an iPad so they can vote in the car and also allow you to go in and vote so you can get your senior home in time for their early bedtime. There’s still an hour tonight…polls close at 8! Senior voices matter!!!! Kudos to all the nice people standing patiently at the polls who were so nice to my 85 year old Mama today! There are such amazing and kind people in this city!
