Today, on , we honor the legacy of Black freedom and resilience — and recognize the ongoing fight for health equity. 🖤✊🏾

Though the Emancipation Proclamation was signed in 1863, freedom didn’t reach Texas until June 19, 1865. That delay reminds us: justice delayed is justice denied.

Black communities continue to face disproportionate barriers to care — including in HIV prevention and treatment. At SAAF, 17–20% of those we serve in testing and care are Black/African American. We must keep pushing for accessible, affirming, and equitable healthcare for all.

💬 This Juneteenth, we recommit to liberation through care, community, and justice.
