Homemade marshmallows are a hit! Our special twist to the marshmallow recipe is as follows: 1/2 cup of cold water, 1/2 cup gelatin, 1/2 cup cold water, 2 cups of honey or maple syrup (we used 1/2 & 1/2), 1/4 sea salt, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg (optional), 1 teaspoon of vanilla (optional). You can add sprinkles, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, etc. Mix 1/2 cup of cold water and gelatin. Boil honey / maple syrup, 1/2 cups of water, and salt. Stir until the mix is 225 Fahrenheit. Add vanilla and nutmeg (optional). Whip all ingredients in a mixer until it becomes semi-stiff. Add the mixture into a buttered dish. Store in a dry, cool place for 8-24 hours. Enjoy!
