O God of peace,
Source of all life and love,
we come before You with hearts burdened by the wounds of war and division.
In communion with Pope Leo XIV,
who calls the world to reject violence and to choose the path of dialogue and mercy,
we echo his plea: silence the weapons, soften hardened hearts, and awaken in all peoples the courage to forgive.
Where there is hatred, sow love.
Where there is injustice, kindle truth.
Where there is despair, plant hope.
Strengthen leaders of nations
to seek not power, but the common good;
not domination, but fraternity among peoples.
Comfort those who suffer—
the victims of conflict, the displaced, the grieving—
and make us instruments of Your peace in our own communities.
May Your Spirit guide us
from fear to trust,
from division to communion,
from violence to lasting peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord and the Prince of Peace.
