Haha, I’m pitta / vata by nature; it’s why I practice yoga. I yearn for that sweet, sweet kapha stability to channel and direct my energy in a more calming, effective manner.

Melody is an experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT500), a Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor, and an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor. She practiced yoga for 15 years before completing an intensive yoga teacher training program in Sedona, AZ which included asana, alignment, anatomy, pranayama, mantra, meditation, chakra, and Ayurveda training. She is certified in Hatha and well-versed in Bikram, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Vinyasa, and Yin. Since completing her teacher training, she has continued to study with some of the most highly-regarded yoga instructors in the industry, such as Sean Corn, Shiva Rae, Kathryn Budig, David Swenson, Taylor Harkness, Gary Kraftsow, Sadie Nardini, Rama Jyoti Vernon and Bo Forbes. She teaches group classes and workshops at University Hospital, USAA, L.A. Fitness, Lifetime, Gold’s Gym and other community locations in San Antonio, Texas. In addition, she teaches privates working one-on-one with individuals who wish to gain a much deeper understanding of yoga. She practices Transcendental Meditation (TM) and is a member of the worldwide TM organization founded by Maharashi Mahesh Yogi. Yoga is a lifestyle that enables us to gently shed our limitations and embrace our authenticity.
