Here at our clinic we have the time to have friendly conversations and get to know our patients.

I was about to remove some skin tags on a humorous, kind patient, was having fun, in my element, excitingly anticipating the procedure, talking with the patient, thinking about my day...

He was laying down as I was prepping the area and we were chatting about life.

Then I remembered I didn't leave some items out for my husband this morning, "Oh no!" I commented out loud.

"Everything okay?" he asked, with a light chuckle. "Yes, you're fine!!!" I said and we both laughed, and I told him I remembered that I forgot to leave items for my husband.

"Good thing you're not a surgeon," he said with a grin, and we both died out laughing 😂 😝🙈

Today I was paid a visit by two heros. John and Denis are veterans finally healed, from alcohol addiction and severe PTSD by ibogaine treatment in Mexico. It's legal in a few other countries and Rick Perry is behind a movement to get it approved and tested for treatment in the states. They came and presented me with a 2015 flag from Afghanistan, as I helped them on their path to receive treatment. We talked over an hour about how they are living a different life, given a second chance, and their purpose that God has given them. To our veterans and patients struggling with addiction and, or trauma, there is hope. Spread the word.

Let’s help students start the school year strong! We’re collecting essential school supplies for kids impacted by recent flooding in partnership with briopediatrics
