PAM Health Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospitals of San Antonio recognized as one America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers for 2022.

This marks the third straight year being included on Newsweek Magazine’s prestigious list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers for 2022.

The complete ranking list will be released on Newsweek.com on August 23rd and published in the upcoming print edition of the Newsweek magazine.

Note: America's Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers were chosen based on a rigorous methodology that includes data from a survey of thousands of medical experts as well as KPIs based on the U.S. Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services, and possible bonuses from CARF accreditation and Model System awards.

Advanced Clinical Capabilities – Critical Illness Recovery and Neurorehabilitation

Welcome Dr. Monica Verduzco-Gutierrez, an accomplished academic Physiatrist and Professor and Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. She previously was the Medical Director of the Brain Injury and Stroke Program at TIRR Memorial Hermann a top three US News and World Report Best Hospital for Rehabilitation. Dr. Verduzco-Gutierrez now joins Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospitals San Antonio as Medical Director Critical Illness Recovery and Neurorehabilitation where she brings her clinical expertise in the care of patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, and interventional spasticity management. As an accomplished physician, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she developed a first-in-market Post-COVID Recovery Clinic to aid in the rehabilitative recovery of patients with functional, mobility, and cognitive deficits after infection with coronavirus.
