SAFPPF Trustees and Staff have a statutory fiduciary duty to conduct on site due diligence reviews of the Fund’s investment managers. In this photo, Active Police Trustee Washington Moscoso (third from left), SAFPPF CIO Cary Hally (sixth from left), and Investment Analyst Giovanni Nunez (seventh from left) are in Philadelphia completing a review of Cook & Bieler. These visits allow trustees and staff to verify how managers operate, evaluate their investment process, assess risk controls, and ensure our members’ money is being managed responsibly. Face to face meetings provide insights that cannot be gained from reports alone and help strengthen the long term partnerships that support the Fund’s stability. We remain committed to safeguarding the Fund’s financial strength and durability. Next stop: Detroit for our next manager meeting.
