To every woman for whom Mother’s Day carries a little more weight this year… This one is for you.
For the woman who is missing her mom today. The one who fought so hard, who maybe didn’t get enough time, who left a shape in your life that nothing else fills. Her absence on a day like today is its own kind of grief, and you don’t have to pretend otherwise.
For the woman whose breast cancer treatment quietly closed the door on a future she had already started to imagine. The babies she pictured. The mother she was going to become.
That loss doesn’t have a greeting card. It doesn’t always have words. But it is real, and it deserves to be honored.
For the woman who woke up today feeling something she can’t quite name… tender, heavy, hollow, grateful, angry, or all of it layered together at once.
However you move through today, whether you celebrate, grieve, rest, or simply survive it, we see you.
— With love, from Perky
