When Rachel and Trina are together on Memory Care, you can bet there’s going to be movement, music, and LOTS of smiles! This go-round the name of the game was soccer ⚽
Our ladies formed a big circle and got ready for some body works meets sports fitness fun! From gentle kicks to lots of cheering, everyone stayed moving and engaged. Keeping these sweet ladies active, energized, and having FUN is always high on our priority list — and today was a goal! 🥅💛

We were so blessed to welcome the sweetest group from Shiloh Baptist Church for the very first time this week! 🤍
They graciously prepared delicious snacks and refreshing drinks for our residents, shared a heartfelt devotional, and filled the room with beautiful hymns. The joy and warmth they brought meant so much to all of us!
We truly enjoyed every moment and are so thankful you chose to come be a part of the Colonial Pines family. We can’t wait to have you back again soon! 🌿✨

We need your help⭐️

We’re gearing up for our BIG Community Easter Egg Hunt happening on Good Friday, April 3rd — and we need your help to make it extra egg-stra special! 🐣🌸
We are currently accepting candy and plastic Easter egg donations now through March 25th. This will give our sweet residents plenty of time to get those eggs stuffed and ready for the big day! They absolutely love being part of the preparation — it makes the event even more meaningful. 💛

We’re planning for a wonderful afternoon filled with:
🌷 Local vendors
🌭 Hot dogs
🥚 A fun-filled Easter egg hunt
📸 Photos with Mr. Easter Bunny himself!

We’ll be sharing more exciting details in the coming days, but for now, we hope you’ll consider donating and joining us as we prepare for what we hope will be a huge community turnout!

Their kindness and servant spirits shine so brightly. To haul all of that equipment up to Colonial Pines and then pour their time and talent into singing for our residents is such a true gift. It’s not just music — it’s joy, connection, and love wrapped up in every song.

As we continue celebrating Black History Month, we were excited to learn about Alfred L. Cralle — an innovative African American businessman and inventor who patented the first ice cream scoop, originally called the Ice Cream Mold and Disher, on February 2, 1897.

DID YOU KNOW:
While working in Pittsburgh, he created a mechanical scoop with a built-in scraper that allowed for easy, one-handed use — solving the common problem of ice cream sticking to serving spoons. What a sweet solution to an everyday challenge!

After learning about his impactful invention, we put it to good use and enjoyed a cold cup of ice cream together 🍨 — followed by a fun and engaging game of Black History Bingo!

🇧🇷 Travel Wednesday took us all the way to Brazil! 🇧🇷
This week, we “visited” the iconic Christ the Redeemer and learned fun facts about this breathtaking Brazilian landmark that overlooks Rio de Janeiro! Did you know it stands over 98 feet tall and has become a symbol of faith and welcome to people from all around the world?
As the sounds of Brazilian music filled the room, our residents picked up their paintbrushes and created their very own watercolor masterpieces inspired by this incredible statue. 🎶🎨
From learning about Brazil’s rich culture to expressing creativity through art, it was truly a beautiful day of adventure — no passport required! ✈️✨
