While our roots and upbringing provide the foundation, they do not define our ultimate destination. We must take heart and realize that our lives are our own beautiful responsibility, and we have the power to create a masterpiece from whatever we were given.

Helping the youth stay away from vices is very important. My husband Joepet Maranan Matining has always had a heart for guiding young people, especially through basketball. Since high school, he has been passionate about the sport and continues to use it as a way to inspire, mentor, and support the youth. Through JAF, he will continue his mission of helping and uplifting the next generation. Bringing together the players from the team Lumba and Wawa, we are now one united team stronger together . As I grow older, I realize that in life, we should learn to be content. Being able to eat three healthy meals a day is already a blessing. A simple life is enough. We don’t need a big house, an expensive car, or material things to feel fulfilled.

What truly matters is our health. We must learn to love ourselves and take good care of our bodies. Every time we neglect ourselves or make unhealthy choices, our body feels it and is affected.

Let us choose to care for ourselves, appreciate what we have, and with each day . #
