Early detection is one of the most effective ways to fight breast cancer. Regular screenings can find cancer before symptoms appear—when it’s most treatable.

Here are a few general screening guidelines to keep in mind:

- Talk with your healthcare provider about when to begin screening based on your personal and family history.
- Most women begin annual mammograms around age 40.
- Women at higher risk—such as those with a family history or dense breast tissue—may need to start earlier or add other imaging tests.
- Continue regular screenings as long as you’re in good health.

Knowledge, awareness, and early detection can make all the difference. If you’re due for your screening, now is the perfect time to schedule it.
