Our holiday celebration this past weekend was a moment to pause, connect, & reflect on the many hearts behind our work. The soul of One Life is powered by our incredible 100+ therapists, admin team, volunteers, & partners who make everything we do possible. We have the best team! 🎄🎉❤️

We’re completely blown away by the thoughtfulness and dedication of our volunteers. 💌 Thank you to NCL Edgewood Chapter, NCL Mid Peninsula, YMSL Crystal Springs, CA, & The Peninsula Basket Brigade for making over 300 holiday blessing bags for seniors at assisted living facilities in San Carlos, Redwood City, & East Palo Alto! In addition to beautiful handmade cards created by an NCL mom, the bags included winter items (socks, gloves, & hats), games (playing cards, crosswords, & dice), holiday decor, & candy. 🧦🃏🎄🍫These gifts have brought so much joy to hundreds of seniors across the Bay Area. Thank you so much!

You might’ve seen many posts about Giving Tuesday today but we’ll cut to the chase. Mental health issues are at an all-time high, & too many people are struggling in silence. ❤️‍🩹

Over the past 9 years, the core of our mission has always been to remove barriers for mental healthcare through accessible & affordable initiatives.

But much of our success is due to people like you. People who deeply understand the commitment it takes to ensure that no one struggles in silence.

Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 to provide low-fee counseling for 20 individuals in need. Every $1,000 allows one person to receive a year of therapy they otherwise couldn’t afford.

Whether you give $1, $500, or anything in between, your donation will directly contribute to someone’s wellbeing this month.

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! 🦃 We’re grateful to have distributed 100+ Thanksgiving bags to Una Vida families at our new Redwood City location on Arch Street. Our Basket Brigade put together “Latin-flavored fiesta bags,” full of tortillas, protein, beans, potatoes, chilies, fresh greens, & sparkling cider.

A huge shoutout to Alissa Rozansky for coordinating & leading the entire event over the last 3 months, our entire committee & volunteer team, & our generous supporters who bought “protein of choice” gift cards to be placed in each bag.

We’re thankful for our community who always steps up with enthusiasm to improve the lives of others when they need it most.

At just 13 years old, one of our male clients joined a gang. He was helplessly trapped in an intense environment filled with strong power dynamics, violence, & trauma.

Working with a dedicated & compassionate therapist at One Life gave him the strength to completely turn his life around & achieve some major milestones last month!

🌟 Officially off probation
💼 Became a supervisor at work
👪 Stronger relationship with his family
🥇 Received an award for his outstanding leadership

Our client went from never believing in counseling to now fully believing in himself, with a dream to open his own company.

Transformative moments like this are why we do what we do.
