The partner clinics of Wave Neuro are proud to announce Dr. Eric Won’s participation in the Autism Parenting Summit hosted by Autism Parents Magazine!

The Summit is scheduled from May 12th to May 15th as a virtual event joining people in the autism community worldwide. Dr. Won will be speaking alongside other experts, including doctors, professors, and therapists, all of whom work tirelessly to deliver new and improved procedures, therapies, and techniques that can and do help autistic people thrive.

In honor of Autism Awareness Month 🧩 we'd like to share a story about Jack, one of the patients who went through MeRT treatment with us. His grandmother took a series of heart-warming short videos to show his progress throughout his treatment period.

Everyone reacts differently to MeRT treatment, and a lot of that has to do with where their starting point is on the spectrum.

The electrical signals in the brain of a child with autism are different than a neuro-typical child and will show up on a qEEG. In a neuro-typical child, the brain patterns are typically alpha frequency-dominant. 🧠🦋🧩

In an autistic brain, there is a mix of slower brain waves (delta and theta) and higher frequencies of beta waves.

MeRT treatment works by neuromodulating the brain waves and altering nerve activity in the brain to help it be more organized and in-sync.

This translates into a higher-functioning child with better communication and social skills. It can also mean a better quality of life for both you and your child. 🤩
