1024Movement

1024Movement 1024 Movement is a nonprofit helping young people (ages 10–24) move away from anxiety, depression, and suicide—and toward hope, healing, and hearing from God.

Our hope is that you would know which voices inside your head are from God, which are from your own pain, and which are the lying dark voices. We want you to experience hearing the loving voice of God in a personal way that brings healing and gives you spiritual power to “shut up” the bad voices. With God’s help, you really can shut up the dark voices inside your head. You can shut them up and make them stop. You really can learn to Hear God’s voice of love, encouragement & peace. You deserve that. You can be happy and have joy in your life. This is for teens and college students who want to experience hearing the loving voice of God in a personal way that brings healing and gives them spiritual power to shut up the bad voices. And for those that have a friend who is hurting or believing lies and you want to know how to help them.

👋🏼Meet Alex.

He’s a young adult who graduated from Ohio State and made the move to San Diego to chase big dreams in the restaurant world—working as both a server and a consultant. 🍽️

But behind the hustle, there’s a side of the industry that often goes unspoken.

🍳💔 Long hours. Low pay. High stress. Constant pressure to keep everyone happy.

And it takes a toll:
🧠 90% of restaurant workers say they’ve struggled with mental health or addiction.
😞 63% report feeling depressed.
🚨 Over half feel pushed to their breaking point.

If you’re in this world—or love someone who is—please hear this:

You’re not alone. Struggling doesn’t mean you’re weak. And talking about it does help.

Mental health is part of the job conversation, no matter the industry.

👀 Are you aware of the mental health stats tied to your field of work or future career path?

We’d love to hear your thoughts, experiences, or insights on how your career intersects with mental health. Drop a comment or DM us—we’re listening. 💬

Lastly, the Lifeline book is filled with practical ideas for any career path to build a mental health healing plan.

🧠💬 Recent studies show that a 12-minute convo with at least one safe friend can seriously boost your mental health.

So… who’s your safe friend? 💛
And if you’re not sure — you’re not alone. Finding safe people (the kind who actually listen and see you) is a game changer.

That’s why we talk about it in Lifeline — because we all need that person (or crew) we can be real with.📘

Need help finding one? You can always reach out to us at 1024 Movement. We’re here for you. 💬🤝

🎆🧨This 4th of July, we’re not just talking about fireworks and freedom—we’re celebrating a different kind of freedom too:
Freedom from anxiety. Freedom from silence. Freedom to be yourself.

🧠💬 Meet Kynlea.

Like a lot of us, she’s battled anxiety since she was little. By the time she hit her teen years, the pressure to be perfect—at school, in sports, in friendships—became overwhelming.

“I started letting the anxiousness win. I quit the things I loved, like soccer, because I was afraid of what people would think.”

Eventually, anxiety touched everything—what she wore, how she stood, what she said. But one teacher noticed. After a panic attack in class, that teacher pulled her aside and simply asked, “Are you okay?”

That moment changed everything.
➡️ Therapy followed.
➡️ So did healing.
➡️ And then came the 1024 Movement—where she discovered others who had felt the same way. She wasn’t alone anymore.

✨ This 4th of July, Kynlea is celebrating a different kind of independence—the kind that comes when you speak up, reach out, and find safe people who get it.

“I thought I was the only one. But I wasn’t. And you aren’t either.”

💥 You deserve freedom—in your mind and heart too… And, the Lifeline book is packed with ideas for this📘🛟

*trigger warning—su***de*

As we close out Men’s Mental Health Month, we want to share an important story. It’s the story of Jessica and her family — and the heartbreaking impact of untreated or misunderstood mental health struggles. ❤️‍🩹

On May 25, 2022, Jessica’s husband, Scott, died by su***de. He was 47. He had been taking medication for anxiety, and while he seemed to be doing “okay,” he wasn’t.

Jessica and her four children — ages 10, 13, 23, and 26 — were left grieving, confused, and battling their own mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

Sadly, this story is not rare. Jessica knows six people who have died by su***de — the youngest just 14.

There’s a pattern here: People smile through the pain. They show up while quietly falling apart. They wear masks because they don’t feel safe being real.

Especially men— So many guys grow up hearing things like “man up” or “deal with it.” But silence isn’t strength — and pretending you’re fine can be deadly.

At , we’re here to change that.

🗣 Speak the truth — even when it’s hard
👀 Look out for the people who seem “fine”
🫶 Create space for real conversations
🌊 Be someone’s Life Line 🛟

We can’t always see what someone’s carrying. But we can make sure they don’t carry it alone.

Keep showing up. Keep checking in. Keep choosing hope.

You are not alone. And it’s okay not to be okay.

Need someone to talk to?

Around 60–70% of guys say support from close relationships is key to their mental wellbeing.🎯

You don’t need a huge friend group. Sometimes, just one person who really gets you can make all the difference.

Whether it’s a friend, sibling, coach, or someone you trust—talking to that one person can help lift the weight.🪨🏋🏽‍♀️

This Men’s Mental Health Month, let’s stop pretending we have to handle everything alone. Find your one. Lean in. Speak up. 💬🧠

📣 Men’s Mental Health Month Spotlight 🧠

Hi, I’m Nick — a recent grad from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. I studied psychology and hope to one day become a marriage counselor, walking with couples and families as they navigate mental health and healing.

Mental health became real for me in 7th grade when a friend of mine tried to take her life. Those conversations forever changed how I see the world. I realized that so many people are hurting quietly — not knowing how to ask for help or where to find it.

That’s why I appreciate the book Lifeline. It doesn’t sugarcoat things. It dives straight into the heart of the mental health crisis — especially for our generation — and offers insight, clarity, and a path forward.

It’s real, relatable, and interactive. Whether you’re struggling yourself or want to understand what others are going through, I encourage you to check it out. Everyone deserves a lifeline. 🛟💬📖

Men are less likely than women to discuss their feelings or seek help for mental health issues, contributing to underdiagnosis and undertreatment. 🧠

That’s a heavy truth—and it’s costing lives.

Too many guys grow up hearing things like “man up,” “don’t cry,” or “deal with it.” These messages may seem tough on the outside, but on the inside, they build silence, shame, and isolation.

Men in their teens and twenties face real pressure—from school 📚, sports, relationships, family expectations, figuring out a future, and navigating a world that often tells them their worth comes from being strong, successful, and unemotional. But bottling it up doesn’t make you strong.

Talking about your mental health doesn’t make you weak—it makes you courageous. 💬

It takes guts to be honest about what you’re going through. And the truth is, you’re not alone. More and more guys are opening up, and it’s changing the conversation.

This Men’s Mental Health Month, we want to lift up male voices and remind you:

• Your emotions are valid
• Needing help is human
• Speaking up is strength 💪

If you’re struggling, say something.
Reach out to a friend, a coach, a mentor—or message us. Healing starts with one brave conversation. 💙

🧠 June is Men’s Mental Health Month.
We’re lifting up male voices and breaking the silence around mental health—especially in spaces like sports, where it’s often ignored.

Meet college athlete- Matthew!⬇️

What’s up—I’m Matthew, and I’m proud to be part of the 1024 Movement.

As a wrestler at Menlo College, I’ve faced mental health struggles—just like a lot of guys do. But in athletics, we’re told to be tough, push through, and stay quiet. That needs to change.

I joined 1024 because I believe in starting real conversations and showing others they’re not alone. If speaking up helps even one person feel seen or supported, it’s worth it.

💬 If you’re struggling—reach out. If you’re doing well—check in on someone else. Let’s make mental health something we can talk about. Proud to stand with a movement that’s changing the game. 💪💙

🧠 June is Men’s Mental Health Month. And here’s something more we need to know:

📉 Approximately 1 in 10 men experience depression or anxiety—yet less than half seek treatment. (And this all could very well be under-reported!)

That’s not because they don’t feel it. It’s because too many are taught to hide it.

Let’s change that. Let’s keep showing up. 💙

Here are 3 ways to break the silence:

1️⃣ Check your words.
Phrases like “man up” or “toughen up” can shut people down. Choose words that open doors instead.

2️⃣ Lead by example.
Share what helps you cope—music, journaling, therapy, talking to someone you trust. Vulnerability spreads.

3️⃣ Be a safe place.
Sometimes just sitting beside someone, no pressure to “fix,” is exactly what they need.

This month and every month—real strength looks like support.
