🚨 When dinner fights back!

This patient swallowed a fishbone that got stuck deep in their throat—and it wasn’t going anywhere on its own. 😬

We had to take them to the OR to safely remove it under general anesthesia.

🦴 Fishbones can be tricky—they’re small, sharp, and can lodge in delicate areas like the tonsils, base of tongue, or even the esophagus.

✅ If you ever feel something stuck after eating fish and it doesn’t go away with swallowing or drinking, don’t ignore it. Seek help—early removal is safer and avoids complications.

🚗💥 From Trauma to Healing ❤️‍🩹 ✨

This patient came to us after a serious car accident left her nose smashed and her breathing severely compromised. At just 1 month post-op, you can already see a dramatic difference—not only in appearance but in function.

We performed a functional rhinoplasty to rebuild the internal framework and restore both form and function.

✅ Restored nasal structure

✅ Improved breathing

✅ Natural-looking results

📸 Swipe to see the before and just 1 month after surgery, keep in mind:

🔹 There is still significant swelling, especially with her naturally thick skin

🔹 Final results can take up to 2 years as swelling continues to resolve gradually

⁣Healing takes time, but this is an incredibly strong start. Thank you to our lovely patient for allowing me to share her progress!

Before & After:

This patient came to us with concerns about a plunging nasal tip, dorsal contour irregularities, and difficulty breathing due to functional nasal airway obstruction.

Through a tailored rhinoplasty, we were able to refine the nasal profile, lift and support the tip, and significantly improve airflow.

The result? A more balanced, natural-looking nose that enhances facial harmony — and a patient who can finally breathe easy.

Beauty meets breathability.

Before & After:

👃Revision Functional Rhinoplasty👃

This patient came to us with a pinched, crooked nasal bridge and persistent nasal airway obstruction after a nasal trauma and previous corrective surgery. Through a meticulous revision rhinoplasty, we restored both form and function—improving breathing while creating a more balanced, natural-looking nasal contour.

Here are her 1 month post-op frontal view results. There is still significant swelling that will take another 1-2 years to completely resolve to get her final result due to skin thickness.

Every nose tells a story—this one now breathes better and looks more harmonious with the rest of the face.

Tympanic Membrane Perforation (aka a ruptured eardrum) 🦻❗️

A hole or tear in your eardrum can be painful, scary, and affect your hearing — but it’s often treatable!

Common causes:
• Ear infections 🦠
• Barotrauma (pressure changes ✈️ or diving 🤿)
• Trauma (e.g., Q-tip injuries) ❌🧼
• Loud blasts or explosions 💥

Symptoms:
• Sudden ear pain ⚡️
• Drainage from the ear 💧
• Hearing loss 🔇
• Ringing in the ear (tinnitus) 🔔
• Dizziness or imbalance 🔄

Treatment depends on the cause & size:
• Small holes may heal on their own ✅
• Larger or persistent ones may need a patch or surgery (tympanoplasty) 🏥

Important:
Avoid water in the ear 🚫💦 and never insert anything inside — not even cotton swabs! 🚫🧻

See an ENT if you have:
• Ongoing ear drainage 🧪
• Hearing changes 🎧
• Pain that lasts more than a few days 📆

Protect your ears — they’re delicate and deserve care! ❤️‍🩹

✨wedge excision with bilateral advancement flap closure for a basal cell carcinoma (BCC) of the upper lip✨

This patient presented with a basal cell carcinoma on the upper 👄- an area where aesthetics and movement matter deeply. We performed a wedge excision to ensure complete tumor removal, followed by a bilateral advancement flap closure to achieve a natural, symmetrical result.

This technique preserves the vermilion border, oral competence, and lip contour, allowing for both oncologic safety and cosmetic excellence.

Swipe to see the transformation—from lesion to healing.

This might be the creepiest thing we’ve ever pulled out of an ear…

Yes, that’s a cockroach.

It crawled in while the patient was sleeping.

Thankfully, we got it out safely (and the patient is doing just fine now).

Think your ear feels a little itchy now?
You’re not alone.

What is Tympanosclerosis?

Tympanosclerosis is when calcium deposits form on the eardrum (tympanic membrane) 🦴🦻—they show up as white, chalky patches. It often happens after chronic ear infections, trauma, or ear tube surgery.

Quick facts:
• Usually doesn’t affect hearing unless the middle ear bones are involved
• Often found by accident during an ear exam
• Most cases don’t need treatment

Swipe to see a pair of the largest👂keloids we’ve treated—successfully excised and healing with the help of pressure earrings, silicone sheeting and intralesional Kenalog injections.

This patient couldn’t undergo post-op radiation therapy (XRT), so we took a proactive approach to minimize recurrence.

Keloids can be stubborn, especially when this extensive—but with tailored treatment and close follow-up, we’re aiming for lasting results.

Swipe to see the journey from excision, to 3 weeks out from surgery where the scar tissue is already starting to recur, to a 9 month post-op result.
