The West Coast Prime Series Girls U16 Final at was one of the slower heats of the day, making wave selection and seizing opportunity critical🌊⏳

Early in the day, Isla Pinto said in her post-heat interview she was gunning for the win. That she did, starting the final with an 8.17 putting the whole field on defense. ✅🔥

Proud of these girls who caught some of the best waves of their careers in a jersey: Charlotte Moschopoulos and Emery Storrer dropping 9’s, and Peeta Kenworthy putting on a backside clinic.

Eden Walla - Perfect 10 🔟 Event win 🏆✨ And…🥁   “Most Innovative Maneuver” award for the girls.

Anyone who knows Eden Walla knows innovation is her default setting. New lines, crazy roundhouses, smashing sections. So much fun to watch.

This award is extra sweet: Eden’s family camps and travels across the country surfing, and drying wetsuits on the road is a real challenge, so they’re very happy winners of a SURFDRY unit 🙌

SURFDRY is proud to support USA Surfing and the next generation of America’s top surf talent. The boy and girl with the most innovative maneuver of the event take home a SURFDRY unit.

SURFDRY is an innovative, portable, patent-pending drying device that dries wetsuits and booties, eliminates odors, and helps your gear last longer.

The USA Surfing West Coast Girls U16 final was straight-up gnarly. 💪🏽🌊Heavy surf, sweeping current, taxing runarounds, and four evenly matched girls making every decision count. It came down to wave selection and committed, completed turns.

Happy Sager was on one all day and stayed locked in when it mattered most, finding two good waves and making them count with big, above-the-lip turns. 🔥

All four girls had moments throughout the day, and huge respect to Lola Fleming for battling through a broken leash and a runaway board in the semis and still pushing into the final.

The USA Surfing West Coast Prime Series Boys U18 final at HB southside turned into an action-packed grind in 6–8ft afternoon surf. 💪🏽🌊

Head coach Ryan Simmons broke it down:

“Local boy Petey Romaniuk got the heat going with a 6. Dane Libby got under way with a 4.5 and Brody price had a 3 in the first half. Then it was Brody who found a gem and nailed a 6.83, putting pressure on the boys to back their waves up. Jett Maughan found two huge attempts in the last half but couldn’t ride out. Petey and Dane couldn’t find the right wave and it left Brody Price with a big win 🏆 Congrats to all the U18 finalists, it was definitely a treat to watch the action.”
