As a community lifestyle medicine advocate, her mission is to empower her patients to regain control over, not just their own health, but the health of their families. Dr. Costa believes that by providing the tools, resources and support anyone can live a natural, healthy, and disease-free life. Southern California Myth… Busted 🐞

A lot of people think we don’t have Lyme disease here because “we don’t have ticks.”

That’s not true.

We do have ticks in Southern California. The real question isn’t if they’re here…
it’s whether they’re carrying harmful pathogens like the bacteria that causes Lyme disease.

If you ever find a tick on your body:
✔️ Remove it carefully
✔️ Save it (don’t throw it away)
✔️ Send it to a lab to test for pathogens
