The amazing living properties of breast milk!
Breastmilk is nature's way of providing the perfect nutrition for your baby and also provides immunity to protect them from illnesses.
Breastmilk is made up of many different components that work together to help your baby fight off sickness.
Some of these components include:
💜 Antibodies: Breastmilk contains antibodies that are specific to the mother and can protect the baby from the viruses and bacteria that the mother has been exposed to.
💜 White blood cells: Breastmilk also contains white blood cells, which help to fight off infection.
💜 Lactoferrin: This protein in breastmilk binds to iron, which makes it difficult for bacteria to grow and thrive.
💜 Lysozyme: This enzyme in breastmilk can destroy the cell walls of harmful bacteria.
💜 Oligosaccharides: These complex sugars in breastmilk act as a food source for beneficial bacteria in the baby's gut, promoting a healthy gut microbiome
💜 Hormones: Breastmilk also contains hormones, such as interleukins, that help to regulate the baby's immune system.
💜 Living cells: Breastmilk contains living cells such as macrophages, lymphocytes, and neutrophils that help to protect the baby from infections.
All these components work together to protect the baby from illnesses and provide the baby with immunity.
So the next time your baby is sick, continue to breastfeed as much as possible.
