We have a question for you all? How do you keep all of your tasks, appointments, meetings, and to-do’s straight?? 🤔

Then add on to that your children’s entire academic schedule and all of their assignments, projects, and exams... to say that it is overwhelming would be an understatement 😣

That’s where we come in! 😁 We can help manage your children’s school obligations. We create a workload schedule, keep up with due dates and assignments, and send reminders to you and/or both of you depending on child’s age and independence. We also work in person or on zoom and provide tutoring in any and all subjects. We also teach and coach your kid(s) about time management strategies, goal setting, and the importance of a gratitude practice 👏🙌

We have been asking where parents need support currently, and remote learning has been the widespread answer! If you are interested in our academic coaching program shoot us a DM or email to schedule a FREE consultation! 📲 We can’t wait to connect with you!

☔️ Rainy/Snowy Day Schedule ❄️ ..
Hey parents- let’s talk rainy/snow days... what are your favorite activities when you are stuck in the house with the kiddos? Here are a few that our babies love...at least for a few minutes at a time 🤪..

Cheers to the weekend! 🥂 ..
Parents-do you still try and keep some sort of routine and schedule going during the weekend❓❓ OR are all bets off 🤪..
You know we are huge advocates for a consistent schedule with clear expectations for the kiddos BUT, that doesn’t mean the weekends are all work and no play. We are definitely guilty of more screen time, more treats, and overall more “fun” during our weekends. Your household deserves some time “off” as long as this less structured time is conducive to your household... so our advice for today is to get outside or stay in if you prefer...but most importantly, enjoy this beautiful day! ☀️ ..

Well isn’t this remote learning space DREAMY 🥰🥰🥰 (too bad every home didn’t come with something like this 😜)..
One of the major areas of need that our community has shared with us is support with remote learning 👩‍🏫 Many parents now find themselves needing to not only work, tend to their home, and care for themselves and their children, but for nearly 11 months parents have also had to manage their children’s academics 🥵..
We understand that this is no small task, and we are here to help! Yes, we can provide tutoring but our most desired academic service is a comprehensive academic management program. We will have access to online platforms and help your child with assignments as well as time management, workload scheduling, reminders/accountability, and life skills that will benefit them into adulthood...
If this is something that interests you, shoot us a DM or email and we can schedule a FREE consultation call. We look forward to connecting with you! ♻️

Aaaaannnndddd we’re back‼️ We are so excited to get back to our community here on IG and to connect with you all once again. Time has been flying by and like many of you we are still adjusting to life in a pandemic. We have been working with families, and hearing from many parents and children about what their needs are during these unprecedented times

We are eager to share what we have heard, and to create a space where we can have an open dialogue with parents, teachers, caregivers, and even kids and adolescents. We look forward to discussing ways to maximize long-lasting positive behavioral change within yourselves and the ones you love ❤️ Have a great Monday and a great week, you will be hearing a lot more from us...can’t wait to ! ♻️

It is our belief that we, as parents, should facilitate building many positive behaviors into our children’s repertoire. Physical activity is definitely towards the top of the list!
Exercise has a profoundly beneficial impact on the mental health of a child and therefore correlates with positive behavior. Physical activity allows children to have a better outlook on life by building confidence, managing anxiety and depression, increasing self-esteem and improving memory and cognitive skills as well as helping them sleep better and boosting overall mood.

For kids, exercise means playing and being physically active. Kids exercise when they have gym class at school, during recess, at dance class or soccer practice, etc and may be missing out on this type of activity during distance learning and COVID-19 restrictions.

Here are some tips for keeping your kids engaged in regular physical activity:
💪Help your kids do a variety of age-appropriate activities.
💪Set a regular schedule for physical activity.
💪Make being active a part of daily life, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator.
💪Embrace a healthier lifestyle yourself, so you'll be a positive role model for your family.
💪Be active together as a family.
💪Keep it fun, so your kids will come back for more.

Good morning ☀️ the day has finally come for many of you, Happy First Day Of School! We are here to give a few strategies to implement with your children and yourSELVES! There will likely be some mishaps to begin this distance learning adventure BUT we are here to help 😊
If and when frustration arises try these research backed interventions:
🤗Validate your child’s feelings- they are very real to them
❤️Teach your child how to appropriately ask for a break, provide a safe calm down area or “time in” together in their room or safe space.
😤 Anger is ok, it is a normal emotion. The reaction to anger is what we focus on while acknowledging anger and expressing it is valuable.
🧘‍♂️ Keep your cool- deep breaths and/or positive self talk is beneficial@to@both children and parents.
😌The calmer we are the calmer they will be-matching emotions will do more harm than good
👂LISTEN- use 👁 contact show empathy. Try to make sense of their why

We see this ALL THE TIME. Parents have a consequence that they consider punishment but their child’s maladaptive behavior isn’t decreasing, instead it is becoming more prevalent. ♦️SOLID TIP SUNDAY♦️Ok, we made that up, but we do have a pretty solid tip for you today!

First, take a brief moment to think about how many times you have praised your children today and what that praise sounded like...

Our tip, to encourage all the appropriate behavior you want to teach your children, is to become intentional about using a 5:1 ratio for positive praise to negative comment/criticism and in doing so, try to use behavior specific or descriptive language.
Children are more likely to repeat behaviors that earn them praise and research shows that when positive commentary outweighs negatives comments with at least a 5:1 ratio it will also increases wellbeing and positive affect in you and your children!

Scroll through for examples of behavior specific or descriptive praise and encouragement
