Many of us were never taught how to name what we’re feeling only that we are feeling something.

The feelings wheel can help by:
• expanding emotional vocabulary
• increasing self-awareness
• making communication easier

You can use the wheel to:
• check in with yourself
• journal or reflect
• prepare for therapy
• explain feelings to others

“Fine” might actually be tired, overwhelmed, lonely, or hopeful.
Naming emotions is a skill, not a personality trait—and skills can be learned.

Take a moment today to check in:
What emotion feels closest right now?

As a new year begins, many people think about “working on themselves.”
For some, that includes therapy, but there are still a lot of misconceptions.

⭕Therapy is:
A supportive, collaborative space
A place to build insight and coping skills
About understanding patterns—not being judged

❌Therapy isn’t:
Only for crisis
A quick fix
A sign of failure or weakness

Choosing therapy doesn’t mean something is wrong with you.
It can mean you’re ready to better understand yourself, care for your mental health, or stop carrying things alone.

Setting intentions for 2026 ✨

May this year be filled with growth: the kind that stretches us, teaches us, and helps us become more aligned with who we’re meant to be.

May we lean into self-reflection, taking time to pause, listen, and learn from our experiences.

May kindness guide our words and actions, toward ourselves and others.

May healing find us gently, reminding us that progress doesn’t have to be rushed.

May forgiveness lighten our hearts, releasing what no longer serves us.

May we have the courage to ask for help when we need it, knowing we don’t have to do everything alone.

May we truly prioritize self-care, honoring our minds, bodies, and boundaries without guilt.

Here’s to a year of intention, compassion, and becoming. 🌱

❄️ Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is real.

As daylight decreases, many people experience low mood, fatigue, and changes in motivation. Talking about SAD matters because it normalizes seasonal mental health struggles, reduces shame, and helps people seek support sooner.

Your brain is responding to winter. And you’re not alone. 💙

Your phone is the first thing you see countless times a day, why not make it a tiny mental health boost? 📱💬

Pick a quote that lifts you, reminds you to breathe, or grounds you when things get hectic. Every glance can be a mini reminder to pause, reflect, or affirm yourself.

Tip: Change your lockscreen regularly to keep the positivity fresh and your mind reset. 🩵

🦃 Holiday Season Boundaries Reminder 🍁🍂

The holidays can be joyful and overwhelming.

Here are a few gentle boundary reminders:
✨ “I won’t be attending this year, but thank you for the invite.”
✨ “I’m not discussing that topic today.”
✨ “I need a little space — I’ll join back in later.”
✨ “No” is a complete sentence.

Setting boundaries isn’t rude.
It’s a form of self-care, emotional safety, and mental health maintenance, especially during a busy season filled with expectations, noise, and pressure.

Give yourself permission to:
💛 Leave early
💛 Say no to extra commitments
💛 Choose the traditions that feel good for you
💛 Take quiet moments when your body or mind needs them

You can’t pour from an empty cup, even during the holidays.
Protect your energy, choose peace, and honor what you need this season.

💛 World Kindness Day Reminder 💛

Science agrees: kindness isn’t just good for others, it’s healing for you, too.

🧠 Studies show that performing acts of kindness activates the parasympathetic nervous system: the part of your body responsible for calm, safety, and emotional balance. When you’re kind, your brain releases oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine chemicals that lower stress, reduce blood pressure, and boost mood.

Whether it’s offering a genuine compliment, volunteering, or showing compassion toward yourself; every kind act strengthens your nervous system’s ability to rest and recover.

💬 November is Anti-Bullying Month: Check In With your kids 💛

Bullying isn’t just “kids being kids.”

It’s repeated, intentional behavior meant to hurt, humiliate, or isolate someone — physically, emotionally, or socially. Bullying can occur both in real life or online and it can deeply affect a child’s mental and emotional well-being.

Here are a few signs your child might be struggling:
🚫 Sudden changes in mood or behavior
🚫 Avoiding school or certain friends
🚫 Unexplained injuries or lost belongings
🚫 Trouble sleeping or frequent headaches/stomachaches
🚫 Withdrawing from activities they once enjoyed
🚫 Low self-esteem or negative self-talk

🗣️ Check in, gently:

“I’ve noticed you’ve seemed quiet lately — how are things going at school?”
“Is there anything or anyone making you feel uncomfortable?”
“You can always talk to me — I’m here to listen, not to judge.”

Small conversations can make a big difference.
Let’s help our kids feel seen, heard, and safe. 💙

Therapy can help too! Reach out today Pacific Integrative Therapy!
