CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT 📣! Mark your calendar, starting 2026 we will be offering the Free Sound Experience for Grief on the First Sunday of each Month from 3-4pm. The location is at the office 7071 Convoy Ct Ste 101, San Diego, CA 92111 and RSVP is required with Bereavement Coordinator Rebekah Finn 858.833.0546.

Did you know we are having a grief potluck at the last Free In Person Grief Gathering of 2025? It will take place at the office location on 7071 Convoy Ct Ste 101, San Diego, Ca 92111, Tuesday December 9th from 6-7pm. We will gather and each person will have the opportunity to share memories of your loved one’s favorite meal. It is not a requirement to bring a dish. We may laugh, cry, be with each other navigating all the emotions that arise. There is no fixing and you can also come and just be with others and not share. This is a sacred community to show up as you are and grief is best supported in community. Grief is a human experience we all have in common. RSVP is required with Bereavement Coordinator Rebekah Finn via text 858.833.0546.

Save the Date! The next online FREE sacred grief circle happens on zoom Tuesday November 25th from 6-7pm. If you have questions or want to join please email and RSVP to grief@topkare.com. The topic will be on Holiday memories & turning a corner on remembrance. This circle is not a replacement for therapy and it is led by dedicated Volunteer Claudia Faerber and technical supporting Volunteer Kevin Baross. We feel lucky, grateful and thankful for the two of them and their monthly commitment to the Bereavement Program.

A snapshot of photos to capture the 2025 Annual Memorial where loved ones who chose our hospice services were honored, remembered and sent bubble blessings, hand written grief messages onto dissolvable paper placed into water (representing tears) and released them back to the earth around a tree. Death is a sacred cycle of life.

Over the past few months, we’ve been working with an incredible group of people to create something we all care deeply about: Make Life Meaningful.

We are here to support educate and honor the aging process, while uplifting the caregivers emotionally spiritually impractically who walked this path with love and sacrifice.

Our mission is simple, but powerful: To open the conversation. Whether it’s about caregiving or end of life planning, we believe that when people are informed and supported, they make decisions rooted in clarity, compassion, and personal values.

Something meaningful is beginning.
Join us for the launch of Make Life Meaningful, a new nonprofit dedicated to supporting caregivers, educating our community, and honoring the aging journey.

We want to Thank Medical Director Dr. Graham for speaking each year during the Annual Memorial. We were able to capture his final remarks on video to share with all of you. Grab some kleenex to listen in on his heart centered loving words he shared during the annual memorial.

October Newsletter is here and we’ve had a month filled of special events and news to share. In particular it highlights the 2025 Annual Memorial that happened last Thursday October 23rd 1:30-3pm library. We are so grateful and thankful to RN Topkare Staff Sarah Joseph who is also a celebrant and word smith personally write the script for the service. In addition, Social Worker Katie Richardson beautifully crafted a Veteran Memoriam she personally wrote and shared. Give it a read as we wanted to recreate and share it with all those near and far who were unable to attend.

The next Free Sound Experience for Grief is happening Sunday November 30th with Bereavement Coordinator Rebekah Finn . RSVP is required and please note starting 2026 we will be changing the monthly offering to the first Sunday of each month. Come wear comfortable clothes, bring blankets, yoga mat, pillows, eye masks, whatever you need to relax, and there is space to sit or lay down. Come gather with other grievers to soak up the unconditional vibrational sounds and vocals to see for yourself how it makes you feel.
