Taking a deep bow to this land of enchantment. This magical desert.

I am still landing and continuing to integrate the deep work and profound teachings from this past month. To do this deeper internal work right now with the state of world feels quite apropos. We are living in a time that is asking much of each of us - not just externally, but internally. Not just for ourselves, but for all humans, for all living beings, for the planet. What we choose can no longer just be about what we have been programmed by society to want or need to feel “healthy” “happy” or “safe”. Individualistic programs that house an agenda that clearly has nothing to do with caring about the true health or safety of living beings. We have to understand that our lives and our choices impact more than just ourselves and our close circle. And that the ripples of our actions and inactions create serious life affirming or life denying consequences in our shared world. It is our sovereign choice to decide what kind of world we want to create next and yes, it will require us to get honest, raw, and uncomfortably aware of our own shadows and our lived and ancestral track record of complacency and wounding. That is what is required for all of us to heal this world with integrity.

I want to extend my deepest heartfelt gratitude to the beings that have been present with me during this threshold - to the Sacred Earth, Sun, Wind and Water that have grounded, nourished, and fed me, to Katie Randall and Grandmother LánéSaán for all of your guidance, wisdom, and profound commitment to life, to all of the plants and animals that have shared the medicine and teachings of their essence with me, to the Indigenous Stewards and Keepers of the San Felipe, Santa Ana, Pecos, and Jemez Pueblos that have permitted me to exist in harmony and peace with them during this time, to my ancestors for guiding me into deeper layers of embodied healing and knowing, to my sweet Chloe for being the sweetest companion on all of my grand adventures, to my loved ones for your unconditional support and love in my walk, to this twisty, windy beautiful camino and to Life!

Hi hi!

With more people following this page, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself and share a little bit about me and the mission of m practice, Sacred Space!

My name is Arielle and I am somatic psychotherapist, shamanic practitioner, and ceremonialist serving people in the Southern California and DMV area.

My curiosity about healing began early on in life when I wanted to figure out how to help ease the internal pain of my family members. This strong desire was also inextricably connected to figuring out to create more safety for myself as I grew up.

This has led me down a wild, beautiful, intense, and windy journey of personal work, study, and practice devoted to learning the art of helping people holistically heal the often unseen, but deeply felt wounds from past and present pain.

I have dedicated over ten years of my life learning and serving the collective in this way.

I have served as trusted counsel to folks from all walks of life - from women’s shelters to in-patient psychiatric hospitals, substance abuse treatment centers to clinical research hospitals, assertive community treatment teams to crisis homes to private psychotherapy practices.

I have studied with renowned Indigenous elders, maestros, and maestros, shamanic teachers, clinical social workers, psychotherapists, somatic pracitioners, energy workers, and yoga teachers from all over the world.

In 2020, I opened my own practice, Sacred Space, to continue deepening my devotion to this work and to my greater mission - to curate multidimensional healing spaces to promote the authentic embodiment of healing for all human beings and to help restore healthy and balanced, mutually compassionate relationships between humans and more than human beings.

It is an honor to help steward the health and healing of humanity and the relationships we all share with the greater than human beings and forces, seen and unseen, on this planet.

🐝Grateful to this sweet bee for taking a nap with me and reminding me of the medicine of staying present, embodying a felt sense of safety, and orienting to the simplicity of abundance - especially in times where I’m feeling the enduring weight of being pulled far from the moment, fearful, and scarce.

These moments with the smallest and biggest of our more than human kin can facilitate profound healing and internal shifts in our system, if we let them.

Our field and the subtle energetics of our being are reflected back to us in the human and more than human kind that seek us out to connect and be held in our presence.

This is particularly true when it comes to our closest relatives. The expressions of those we surround ourselves with most intimately can mirror back to us the level of safety, stability and security we have grown or need to be reminded of cultivating within ourselves.

However, if that level of self reflection and nourishment isn’t yet familiar to us or the relationship being mirrored back to us has yet to be established with care as truly safe, these kind of messages and lessons will pass us by, or will actually create deeper states of dis-ease because we are not open to receiving them.

I wouldn’t have received the medicine of this moment if I wasn’t open to connecting with this sweet bee. If I responded to my familiar conditioning to be afraid of something that has a protective mechanism like a stinger (or nails, or teeth like most beings have), I would have become more fearful, more internally dyresgulated, and perhaps even interpreted this as something else to add to the list of things going wrong in my life.

I share this to show you that our perceptions of and relationships with the smallest biggest of beings on this planet can be approached in a way that is affirming to the sweetness of life or can be used to instill more life denying fear and violence.

The choice, as always, is yours.

Will you be the flower or will you be the foe?

Medicine and nourishment is present all around us. We just have to open our eyes, our ears, our hearts and tune in.

Our Earth provides, our Sun shines, our Waters flow, and our Wind blows. Wherever we find ourselves these days, may we remember where we ALL come from. Our shared roots, our original ancestors. May we respectfully honor them in the ways that remedy how we have historically extracted from, neglected, and diminished their importance. May we build deeper relationships with them based in reciprocity, care, protection, and stewardship. May we clean up the way we walk in the world to protect their health and vitality so that they may continue to flourish and give life to all living beings and to humanity. May we weave these respectful, intentional, and life affirming steps into how we interact with all life - the animals, the plants, the winged ones, the insects, the seen and unseen, human and more than human kin.

If we want to begin healing our relationships with one another, we have to look here. At the beginning, at the root of life, our lives.

You never know how many times you will be called back to a moment, a memory, a person, a place stamped deeply into your heart and your soul.

My father and the sítio we called home in Brazil have been strongly with me as of late. And although he is no longer here physically and my relationship with this land has shifted, I feel both speaking to and through me often.

On the cusp of more big shifts I’ve been dreaming into being, I remember. I feel how the relationship, the time and space we shared together in this life created profound ripples. How he lived his life, his courage to follow his path, and his death moved the wheel of chance for me.

I would not be experiencing my life or myself as I know it now if it weren’t for each step he took in life to reconnect with the elements, the animals, the plants, the spirits, the land. I would not be experiencing my life or myself today if it weren’t for each step I, too, took especially in relationship to him and all of the experiences and lessons he brought me.

He guided me down a road that upon his departure set into motion a force within that spoke to the core of my being. A way of walking in reverence to life that I could never forget or forgo, even if I tried. A path of remembering, of re-righting relationship to the seen and unseen that has brought me to my knees bowing in the deepest gratitude and the deepest grief I have ever known, again and again. So much beauty and so many blessings. So much loss and sacrifice. So much freedom and so much responsibility.

I carry this gift close. Carefully nurturing it with the utmost love, integrity, and commitment I can muster.

In confrontations of the great beauty and the great tragedy that this life brings, this is what I return to.

And to be honest, it’s been really hard to find the right words to fully describe my own process and perspective.

For now, this is what I feel called to share.

Just some of my favorite moments traveling this last month through Austria and Switzerland.

It always surprises me what gets lifted up when I travel far away. A sense of wanderlust and excitement to be in new places experiencing new things - absorbing different lands, peoples, and cultures. A deeper feeling of gratitude for this gift of life, the adventures it takes me on, how I get to share them with family and with friends. All of that and also a deeper awareness of myself and my perception and perspective on life. More clarity on the specific aspects of myself and my patterning that still need tender love and support.

And the realization that wherever I am in the world, grief and gratitude both always seem to show up. There is no escaping the inevitability of both as long as I’m here, heart beating.

Grieving for what was and what is while also holding the absolute beauty and joy of each little big piece of being alive. Walking in the duality of both pain and praise and staying present with what each has to teach me.

One ongoing lesson I’m continuing to integrate is that each and every being is on their own individual path. And even if that path looks different than yours, you don’t approve of it, or you don’t like it, that’s okay because it’s not the road you are walking. Everyone has their own individual journey and it’s important to give back the task we feel like we’ve taken on of trying to push or force others elsewhere. It’s important to be clear mirrors and reflectors of who we are and what we stand for to serve as supportive guideposts to others, but it is not okay to try and take away the responsibility of someone choosing to take ownership over themselves and their lives as adults. Doing so perpetuates internal fragmentation, disempowerment and the oppression of one’s vital and sovereign life force energy and it also overextends our own capacity.

There is a lot of grief in integrating this. And it’s grief that might take this or many lifetimes to integrate, as this kind of narrative runs layers and generations deep through all of us.

As it lands, may it do so with ease and with grace.

The closing of a chapter invites in the opening of another.

It has been a beautiful three year journey. A journey I couldn’t have anticipated or dreamt up in my mind - but a journey of some of my biggest dreams nonetheless. A journey that began during a chapter of deep and intense internal and external deconstruction. A moment in my life filled with so many endings, and so many beautiful stories waiting to be written.

I look back on the moment we first began our journey together as student and teacher and am filled with an abundance of gratitude and humility for this path. For the ways in which I have felt held and supported while stepping onto and walking this road. I have fallen on my face so many times during our time together, and continued in my persistence and dedication to turning such moments into wisdom in big part because of your unwavering support and belief in me, my path, and my medicine. I am grateful for you, , your medicine, your wisdom, your walk, your teachings, your heart, and all of the supportive, grounding, structured ways you’ve both held me in harder moments and called me into alignment with integrity when I’ve needed it. Thank you for being a tender and clear mirror for me when I felt like I couldn’t even trust myself and my own perception. Thank you for reminding me of things I had forgotten when I felt fully untethered from myself and my reason for being here. Thank you for teaching and instilling within me the importance of maintaining the impeccability of myself, my vessel, as a channel and teaching me many practices, rituals, and protocols to maintain that integrity. Thank you for your belief in me and my medicine, and your commitment to helping me step more fully into myself and fly higher. Thank you for reinstalling a sense of safety and trust between me and the masculine polarity, Ometecuhtli.

We have travelled many places together, and while this era is coming to close, I trust our paths will continue weaving in the most resonant and expansive ways in service to Spirit and to Life.
