Aveanna is proud to show our support for Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Month!

Muscular dystrophy (MD) is a group of diseases that causes progressive muscle weakness and a loss of muscle mass. There are several types of MD that affect specific muscle groups. Symptoms can begin in childhood or adulthood and also vary in severity. Currently, there is no cure for MD.

Aveanna is honored to show our support for individuals and families impacted by MD across the nation. Together, we can nurture empathy, kindness, and optimism for each individual touched by this disease.

We are overjoyed to welcome Maizi to our Aveanna family just in time for his first birthday!

Aveanna patient Emmory has received private duty nursing services for a little over a year. Her care team's partnership with her family gives her the support she needs to thrive right at home, where she feels safest and most loved.

Emmory has both a tracheostomy and a g-tube, which require skilled, compassionate care around the clock. Thanks to her incredible Aveanna nurses, she’s able to enjoy her days doing what she loves!

Jonas’ first seven months have shown how strong and special he truly is!

After a long labor, Jonas was born and admitted immediately to the NICU. He was evaluated for eating and breathing difficulties, and he was ultimately diagnosed with laryngeal-tracheal-bronchial malacia. He was discharged from the NICU at 2 months old with a G-tube and oxygen. Soon after, he had a tracheostomy placed and used ventilation to keep his airway open. It was a game-changer for him!

Jonas can now focus on learning, growing, and being loved. He is now thriving at home, where he’s a happy, playful, rambunctious boy who loves people and being on the move. Having skilled nursing through Aveanna will allow Jonas’ dad to go back to the office for work and his mom to manage the home and provide a nurturing and rich environment for Jonas and his sister.

We are truly inspired by your perseverance, Jonas. Welcome to Aveanna!
