The Butterfly Hug is a way to remind yourself you’re safe - through rhythm, breath, and self-touch 🦋

It might look small.
But for your nervous system, it’s a big deal.

This is one of those tools that can help bring you back to you - gently, slowly, and without needing to explain a thing.

Try it the next time your chest tightens or your thoughts start spiraling.

You’re allowed to self-soothe. You’re allowed to feel safe in your body 🩵

It’s often a fight or- light response in disguise.

What looks like distance is usually fear.
What looks like disinterest is usually overstimulation.

And behind that quiet exterior?
Someone who wants to feel safe, seen, and accepted just like anyone else.

Let’s stop labeling what we don’t understand.

And if you are that person quietly fighting social anxiety:

You’re allowed to say no to plans that feel draining—even if everyone else is outside living their best “main character” life.

That said - you also deserve connection.
Not the kind that leaves you buzzing with regret or self-doubt after, but the kind that feels safe, slow, and soul-filling.

You don’t have to do it all.
You also don’t have to do it all alone.

This summer, let’s aim for balance:
🩵 Space when you need it.
🩵 Support when you’re ready for it.
🩵 And permission to honor both.
