🤎 With immense pride and deep humility, I am thrilled to announce the successful defense of my Doctor of Social Work Capstone Project, "A reSTORY Project for Black and African American Adolescents of Incarcerated Parents."
🙏🏽 This groundbreaking work is a testament to a grassroots approach aimed at HEALING, JUSTICE, RESTORATION, and RESILIENCE. It’s a tailored treatment model that empowers underserved African American and Black Adolescents, fostering holistic well-being and sustainable growth.
🙌🏽 As I close this chapter of my academic journey, I reflect on the culmination of rigorous study and passionate advocacy that have shaped this path. Each book, each page turned, has not just imparted knowledge but has also amplified the stories and struggles that have fueled my mission, vision, and values. Today, as I stand proud with my doctorate, I am more committed than ever to (reSTORYing) rewriting narratives for underserved African American and Black adolescents, enveloping their lives with hope, healing, and resilience.
