🌍 Globally, women perform significantly more domestic work than men—in some contexts, 3-7x as much. Women’s traditional roles as primary caregivers are sharpening inequities as more women have paid work opportunities outside of the home, which often do not result in shared responsibilities in caregiving. Although men’s self-reported caregiving is shifting, structural and social barriers continue to limit their full engagement.
