Our CEO, Jafri, was interviewed on Oncology Tube where he summarized what Immunicom does and why it matters. When asked why our leading product, the LW-02 Column, is so critical – he answered,

“We do not add any type of drug, chemical, or molecule into the patient's blood system. Our unique approach is designed to externally remove factors from the patient's system in a way that can benefit pathways that are either immune stimulating or anti-tumor. It is intended to do this in a non-toxic manner without causing patients to have severe adverse events or side effects. That's where it really becomes a differentiator and something that we believe is required on the market.”

October is breast cancer awareness month and TNBC accounts for 15-20% breast cancer diagnoses worldwide.

Why are we talking about TNBC?

Our LW-02 Column for Immunopheresis® therapy has regulatory clearance (CE Mark certification) in Europe for use in adults with advanced, refractory TNBC and we are beginning market introduction. In the U.S., we have FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for late/end stage patients with cancers like TNBC with metastatic tumors.

We’ve joined forces with Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies to help us, deliver our product and their apheresis technology in Germany, Spain, France and Italy. Immunicom also had clinical trial data abstracts accepted at , showing LW-02 Column for Immunopheresis therapy to be safe and effective. Additionally, we received a grant from NCI/NIH to initiate our first US-based clinical trials at Baylor College of Medicine.
