You’re not going to convince a three-year-old to do OT exercises just because you said so—but we bet they’ll race you across the room in a pair of “moon boots” you created together! Meet Esbe, MOT, OTR/L! Esbe joins JSPT with extensive experience in Early Intervention and a background as an infant educator. Esbe has a passion for early childhood mental health, attachment, bonding, and co-regulation. She takes a strengths-based approach, empowering caregivers and children to highlight their unique skills and abilities. It's National Boss's Day and we want to take a moment to talk about ours! ⁠

Story time: Jovany and Scott met at the convention in 2016. Legend has it that they were wearing the same shirt, but this is disputed. Regardless, they bonded over lunch and dad jokes, quickly becoming friends. They traveled together across states and countries, sharing more than just a similar sense of humor. ⁠

Jovany and Scott had a similar outlook on the field of speech-language pathology and were passionate about early intervention. They believed in its power to shape a person's understanding of neurodiversity and disability from an early age. Celebrating the unique qualities that make people special, they dreamed of assembling a team of like-minded specialists.⁠
⁠
So in 2021, they put pen to paper and opened J&S Pediatric Therapy, Inc. We now have a thriving team of over 30 individuals dedicated to helping people. Our mission continues as we seek to create a kinder more accepting world, one where everyone receives the support they need to meet their maximum potential.

Specializing in early intervention, she cherishes its family-oriented approach. Cristina excels in sensory/motor skill development and feeding therapy. Meet Giovanna Lopez, OTD, OTR/L (she/her/ella), one of our newest occupational therapists! After spending some time in San Francisco, Gigi is back in sunny SoCal. With a Doctoral degree from Samuel Merritt University, she's a superhero of supporting individual potential. From high school days to now, Giovanna's been on a mission to make lives awesome as awesome as possible. With creativity and a dash of magic, she whips up motivating therapy sessions. When she's not on OT duty, catch her frolicking outdoors with her sidekick Beary, the pup, or cooking things up, Mexican style! 🌞🐶🌮
