Vision therapy is working! We had noticed vision improvements over the last few weeks but Low vision is tricky, the lights, fatigue effects vision. At VT today she tested and his peripheral vision is better!

Yesterday we went for testing with Dr Tsang in orange county. She is the Dr who worked on the visual snow clinical trial. Sebastian has VS and Visual impairment. The best part was Sebastian was able to tolerate testing and did very well. This hasnt happened since his brain surgery. Usually any visual exams cause him a lot of distress. The negative is that she doesnt have experience with visual impairment and visual snow. She was very honest and upfront that he would be her first patient with his particular diagnosis. Since there is no downside except cost and time lost Ive decided to proceed and hope for some benefits.

Last day of MeRT! He had a six week treatment and enjoyed all the snacks they have 😂. Had great feedback from his teachers about how he is so more alert and engaged than they have ever seen him. Huge improvement in mood, much less irritated and his depression is gone after 4 yrs! Benefits continue to come post treatment. I think is 3-4 months I will do another QEEG and track is post treatment.

MeRT is a treatment we have been doing. We have done this brain repair not vision but we have had some visual improvements. Since my son lost most of his vision he has had fleetingly and rarely, sort of flickers of clear vision. So quick, he thinks it is psychological. I asked the dr in Berlin his thoughts and he guessed that when he uses his vision it creates fatigue. When we started MeRT we had two great experiences. First, the next day he started typing and the second he had increased flickers of vision that would last a second. We added in redlight (we use Firefly) and a few of the protocols from Medical Medium optic nerve damage and he had one flicker that lasted 5 seconds! Certainly promising

Sebastian had neural stem cells two days ago. 25 mill intrathecal and 25 mill intranasal. It was an easy day and post op he was feeling well and in good spirits. That night he had in immune response, pressure headaches, vomited, fever. This isn't an untypical reaction...but not fun either. Just wish I had bought perscription meds while in mexico when it would of been easy. Luckily we had high dose ibuprofen and also used benadryl. The next day he was still off but running around and today seems fine.
