Elderly Love of San Diego community sends its deepest sympathies and prayers to the Boyd family. Our Elderly Love group was privileged to celebrate Dr. Arthur Boyd's life and achievements in 2022, Honoring The Pillars of the Community celebration.
Dr. Boyd proudly served the United States Navy for 23 years, culminating in his retirement as a Master Chief Petty Officer (E-9) in 1986. He subsequently had a notable tenure as an educator and professor in the Community College District. Dr. Boyd's interests included being a member of Choice Entertainers and singing with the Southeast Community Church Choir.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his humor, and his joyful spirit.

Our Elderly Love group was honored to have celebrated this remarkable leader in 2023. His legacy of love, transformation, and groundbreaking achievements continues to inspire us. From desegregating Charleston's Municipal Golf Course to founding the San Diego Inner City Junior Golf Foundation, Mr. Brown paved the way for future generations. His impact on the lives of hundreds of children and families is immeasurable. His legacy will live on for many generations.

With heavy hearts, Elderly Love of SD bids farewell to Mother Curly Davis, who passed away just days before her 108th birthday. We are humbled to have shared in her extraordinary life and celebrated her remarkable presence. Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones during this challenging time. Her love, wisdom and humor will live in our memories forever.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Grammy and Me Tea Party. Our team at Elderly Love of SD thanks you for your support, love and laughter. Carnations was given to each and every Elder in the room and it was a beautiful sight to see. Thank you to Mrs Christine Sanchez-Bastidasfor the miniature teapot . Thank you to LHAA/ Terry Glenn Robinson for being a sponsor. This was a joint effort as we work together to spread mental health awareness, the value of relationships and the strength within our community. Thank you to Maryanne Parker for educating us about afternoon tea etiquette, and Dr. Farmer forl sharing with us how tea can improve mental health and brain function. It is particularly interesting, as there is a growing research on the benefits of tea for cognitive function and mental well-being. And last of all I want to say Joyce Mcbrydeand Erica Robinson, we make a great team.
