On World Mental Health Day, we want to highlight a positive story. Marisol, with the help of VH’s ADAPT program, has been able to overcome tremendous mental health and substance use disorder challenges, and reclaim her life. VH’s ADAPT program provides accessible mental health services to pregnant and postpartum women throughout San Diego County. Sometimes all we need is a little help!

We are very grateful to The Social/Movie Group & Big Gay Picnic for organizing a hygiene kit drive for Vista Hill Foundation. The donation drive is scheduled for Sunday, October 12th, 2025 (11 AM–3 PM), at Balboa Park (2909 Balboa Dr, San Diego). The hygiene kit drive will collect items – such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, menstrual products, etc. - that directly benefit our program participants.

Screening to Care’s Summer Wellness Event was in August. The families of Escondido Union School District middle school students were invited to participate in DIY craft activities such as painting their own t-shirts. These families also attended the first parent advisory group where our parent partners/outreach workers presented information about our program and the support we offer. Backpacks were distributed and opportunity drawing items were given away to the families to encourage them to spend time together.
