August 17th is National Non-Profit Day! Although our stance is always to promote inclusion in dignified and meaningful ways, Revision is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, founded in 2017. The people we support are not charities, but our mission definitely is worth investing in. We are a disability-affirming, community-based art studio, and we provide materials to 30+ artists, with Professional Creative Mentors on our team. Take a look at how your donation or membership will make a lasting impact on our small, local operation. If you feel compelled, a link to participate can be found here. Other ways to support us include attending our events, sharing our posts with your circle, purchasing work from the artists in residence, donating materials or time, and/or recommending us for sponsorship or grant opportunities at your place of employment.
✨ Thank you to everyone here who tags along with us. We notice each time we add a new follower or gain a fan. It means a lot to us.

San Diegan’s are gearing up for Comic-Con this month, and Alex Acosta is showcasing some of his work at Revision and beyond. He is known for his incredible line work and series of character portraits from animated shows like Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Garfield, and more. His original character, Nora, is often depicted in many different scenes such as this piece where she is seen as Zelda. You can find some of his work, including this one, at Subterranean Coffee shop at their upcoming video game themed show organized by Art Hang San Diego.

July is Disability Pride Month and here at Revision we want to celebrate the characteristics of self-expression, identity, activism, joy and belonging. Our studios are a safe place for all, and we welcome community members who are open-hearted, inventive, and collaborative to join in. On July 26th we are hosting an art exhibition with work made by local creatives interpreting these themes, and pieces made by the artists in residence. Our Open Call for Art is currently accepting submissions of all mediums through July 14th. Direct link (google doc) can be found below, but if you need help- reach out
