Working on a project with Madison High School English teacher Cindy Jenson-Elliott. I painted these 2 canvases that will face out to the street and students in her class will be working on mural designs that face toward the meditation garden. The student designs will focus on books in the curriculum, individual student culture and native plants and animals. More to come!

Sometimes, you have to prioritize home. First, the still functional but ugly as heck folding closet doors got a William Morris découpage makeover with Willow Bough and Strawberry thief. This past week, we purchased a $35 rotating bookshelf for the spill-over from our children's book collection of 1800 books. The plain pine shelf got some chalk paint, Blackthorn fabric découpage and a little brown wax. The whole room is much more warm and welcoming.

A momento of another time. This client asked that I reproduce a portion of the original wallpaper from her childhood kitchen on a serving tray. I handpainted the design and sealed with resin for durability.
