Did you know” Acupuncturist” do so much more then put needles in people. The title Acupuncturist is actually a bit limiting for as many of us are Doctors of Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine. What does that mean? We go to school for a very long time are receive an extensive education around western (allopathic) medicine, eastern medicine and many healing modalities. Your appointment with an acupuncturist may also include nutritional counseling, exercise advice, herbal medicine and manual therapies such as cupping and gua sha. If you are interested in receiving any of these therapies but would like to skip the needles part we are happy to accommodate!

Acupuncture is a safe and effective method of treating anxiety. The number of sessions needed will depend on your medical history and severity of the condition, however many patients experience rapid relief.

"Eunime" is located in "Calle Culiacan #4901 Colonia El Cortez" in Tijuana; it was founded in 2007 by Juanita Ortiz Quezada. When Juanita was young two of her sisters (Eunice and Noemi) passed away due to AIDS complications brought on by HIV infection; to honor their memory the "Eunime" orphanage was born with the mission to take care of babies and children who were rejected from other institutions due to their HIV carrier status and those with cancer.

In such a city as Tijuana, this is the only place that strives to provide such well rounded and round the clock care to these very special tiny humans. The caretakers here work hard to see that the children are always well kept and the orphanage is always in tip-top shape. Aside from this, they work along with donors who provide the tuition's for the children to attend private school, as they realized this improved the children's learning capabilities due to more personalized attention by their teachers. They do exceptional work on a daily basis and they go above and beyond when needed for the benefit of the children's health, having to sometimes travel to Mexico City for special medical treatments. Juanita and her team treat these children as they should be treated...like regular children who get to enjoy their childhood without being stigmatized by their diagnosis.
