It’s never easy to talk about infertility. Old feelings and anxiety that I have worked tirelessly to overcome.
Mental health has become one of the most important things I advocate for.
No one saw was how depresses I was for years, how dark my view became and how scared Nick and I both were towards the end of my journey because my mental health was so bad.
This was something I never knew could be affected that deeply. Coming on and off heavy medication and hormones for 3 years, experiencing loss after loss, feeling guilty for not living enough or doing enough for my twins, I fell into a deep depression.
And no one knew.
I was scared, for so many reasons but I wondered if I would ever come out of this feeling.
The thing is that once Eriela came, I still hadn’;t dealt with the truama and the depression. I went from years of infertility and loss, to a baby during the pandemic, post partum and life. I hadn’t dealt with what happened. I became angry and depressed again.
So I finally took on my journey head on. I made it a point to heal. While I was seeing a therapist through IVF, I never dealt with it and what it actually did to my mental health. But it was time.
Over the last few years I have put in more work on myself than I ever have. I am so grateful for therapy, supportive friends and the most amazing husband and children. But it takes work. So no matter what you are going through, remember that your mental health matters, put in the work, because we can all work on ourselves to be better, if for nothing else, for us.

2️⃣ Transvaginal Ultrasound: A more detailed approach, this involves a specialized transducer inserted into the vagina to provide clearer images of the pelvic organs. It’s particularly useful for evaluating ovarian follicles, detecting abnormalities, and guiding fertility treatments.
