There is a difference between being kind… and abandoning yourself.

Be willing to speak up for yourself.
Be willing to say, “This doesn’t work for me.”
Be willing to ask for what you need without apologizing for existing.

Your needs are not dramatic.
Your boundaries are not rude.
Your voice is not “too much.”

But also…

Don’t twist yourself into exhaustion for things that don’t truly matter.
Don’t overextend for people who wouldn’t do the same.
Don’t sacrifice your peace to win arguments that won’t change your life in a year.

Ask yourself:
✨ Will this matter next month?
✨ Does this align with who I’m becoming?
✨ Am I honoring myself in this moment?

You can be compassionate and firm.
Loving and clear.
Strong and soft.

Speaking up for yourself is not selfish — it’s self-respect.
And protecting your energy is not cold — it’s wise.

Choose your battles.
Choose your peace.
Choose yourself.

A cold and rainy day is STILL a good day at the beach… especially in La Jolla. ☔🌊

Sipped a Mexican Mocha with my mister at Better Buzz Coffee - La Jolla, watched the rain hit the ocean from the car (main character energy), then wandered down to Children’s Pool Beach to say hi to our chunky little seal and sea lion friends and their adorable pups. 🦭

Am I creating safety?
Am I truly listening?
Am I honoring someone’s humanity?
