40 years ago today, 65 physicians partnered with Sharp HealthCare to create Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group.

The partnership remains one of the earliest and most enduring examples of an integrated health care system in the United States.

Recent federal guidance surrounding the updated COVID-19 vaccine has led to confusion and concern. Last week, the California Department of Public Health announced official immunization recommendations for COVID-19, RSV and influenza.

The federal government announced that adults age 65 and older and children and adults with “high-risk” conditions would be eligible to receive the shot.
