🌟Client Success Story: Spotlighting Esther Frias

💳Esther Frias is a perfect example of how a bit of external support can help transform the relationship between our clients and their employers. Esther had been volunteering with Rise Credit Solutions (RCS) when she first met Margarita Romero from Options For All. Esther and her employer both valued her hard work and commitment to her goals, but RCS lacked the funding to support her joining the company permanently.

🫶Through her incredible advocacy skills, Margarita Romero saved the day. She communicated with Esther’s CA Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation counselor to offer Adult Work Experience (AWE) services to her client, ensuring Esther could continue to work with RCS but also receive pay. By breaking down the process to Esther’s employee, Margarita has set this process underway and has confirmed Esther can be hired permanently after completing her AWE hours.

🏅We are so proud of Esther’s progress as she works towards her goal of becoming a Credit Repair Specialist. Thank you to Margarita for all of your hard work, and to Rise Credit Solutions for always prioritizing inclusive employment.

🌟Highlighting Brian Nero, the VP of Employment Services

🗺️Brian has revolutionized our approach to employment services, emphasizing the importance of supporting Options For All clients in building a future, rather than simply getting a job. His work is centered around inclusion—he expanded employment programs to not just big cities, but also rural areas like Imperial Valley and Salinas. Brian started at OFA in 2017 as the Area Manager for the East County Community Engagement team and transitioned into different roles throughout the past eight years, including Area Manager of Employment Services and Director of Employment Services. Today, he thrives as the Vice President of Employment Services—a role he began in May 2025.

🌟Client success story: John H

John’s journey with Options For All is one of resilience, growth, and the power of purpose. While he has faced profound challenges with anxiety and self-doubt, at times struggling with intrusive thoughts and becoming emotionally withdrawn, his story has taken a remarkable turn thanks to consistent support from his community with Options For All and his own inner strength. ❤️

💪A key part of John’s progress has been his involvement with Tai Chi. What started as a small class he led for his immediate group has grown into a weekly program that now serves five to six different client groups. His commitment to teaching Tai Chi has had a meaningful impact, supporting his own growth in addition to offering a positive experience for many of our other community members.

John’s shift from being withdrawn and uncertain to becoming more confident and engaged has been clear and steady. His transformation serves as a perfect example of the importance of perseverance, and in knowing your community members always have your back. 🫶

🌈 We’re also excited to highlight how Pride truly has something for everyone. Whether you were watching from home, marching in the parade, or lacing up for the 5K, there were countless ways to show up and celebrate.

🎂Happy 40th birthday, Options For All!

Last Thursday, we hosted the first of our upcoming celebrations in San Diego at the Air and Space Museum in Balboa Park. From honoring our employees to acknowledging our most impactful community partners, the energy in the room reminded us how far we’ve come since our 1985 founding.

✨But we’re not done yet! This celebration was just the beginning. We’re gearing up for more events across the state as we continue to commemorate four decades of inclusion, advocacy, and meaningful support.

This summer, we’re proudly celebrating 40 years of Putting People First—four decades of empowering individuals with disabilities, strengthening communities, and building an inclusive future together.

As CEO Brian Zotti shared, “For 40 years, our clients have been at the heart of everything we do. Options For All exists because we believe every person—regardless of ability—deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated. This milestone belongs to our entire community, whose belief in inclusion has made lasting impact possible.”

We couldn’t agree more. This anniversary is not only a celebration of our mission—it’s a celebration of the people who bring it to life every day.
Board Chair Theresa Carroll adds, “This 40-year milestone belongs to every DSP who shows up with heart, every manager who leads with purpose, every leader who keeps our mission moving, and every Board member who believes in a better, more inclusive world. Together, we've built something truly extraordinary.”

🌟Spotlighting Rachel Holiday, the Director of Business Development at Options For All

🏢Options For All (OFA) is proud to be California’s Employment Enabler, and Rachel has been instrumental in our success. Nearly eight years ago, she started at OFA as a Job Coach DSP. She has had a remarkable journey, becoming a Job Developer, followed by a Business Development Associate. Now, she serves as Director of Business Development and leads a team of dedicated job developers working to expand meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Whether she’s supporting staff, building partnerships, or launching initiatives, her work is rooted in person-centered planning and community inclusion.
