Worried about dermal filler migration? Nowadays, I see some really odd filler results, let’s dive into the causes, prevention, and solutions! 💉✨

🔍 Causes: Filler migration can occur due to improper injection technique, overfilling, or even excessive movement post-treatment. This leads to fillers moving from the intended area, leading to uneven results or lumps, or a “swollen, puffy” look.

🛡️ Prevention:
Choose an experienced injector who understands facial anatomy.
Follow all aftercare instructions to minimize movement and pressure on treated areas.
Opt for gradual treatments rather than a large amount of filler at once.

💡 Solutions: If migration does occur, it can often be corrected with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid fillers safely and effectively.

Let’s talk aftercare! 💋 Follow these crucial Do's & Don'ts to ensure your lips stay luscious and lovely:

✅ DO stay hydrated and use clean, gentle, unscented lip balm, such as aquaphor or arnica gel.
✅ DO expect swelling & some bruising, apply an ice pack to reduce swelling
✅ DO use analgesic (pain killer) if needed
✅ DO schedule a follow-up with your provider after 2 weeks. Let us know what you absolutely love or may be concerned about.

❌ DON'T touch or massage your lips unnecessarily for 2 weeks.
❌ DON'T engage in intense exercise, wear lipstick, or smoke for the first 24 hours.

Ignoring aftercare can lead to uneven results. Trust us, your lips will thank you for the extra TLC! 💖
