Heart and Hooves Therapy is here to enhance the lives of children and adults by offering a different kind of therapy. We are a 501c(3) non profit.

Heart and Hooves Therapy's ultimate goal is to enhance the lives of children and adults with a different kind of therapy by bringing mini horses and other animals to them. No matter where they are located or what they are going through. We are going to need a lot of support and help as we are on this journey. I truly appreciate all the help and support and look forward to serving many adults and children with your help! We are a 501c(3) public charity non profit.

Bruce was out for his session with Tori. He was a little distracted but was able to redirect easy and get started. We completed the obstacle course with verbal instructions and directions, he worked hard on listening while playing red light, green light and he was able to monitor his behavior better. He was able to match all the pictures and the words on the bingo boards.

Our Tuesday St. Madeline Sophie's Center was out today to help clean a stall together, helped give grains, and got to enjoy a nice lunch in the shade.

Meet Bubba. This is his 2nd weekly session with us. He is 3 years old and on the autism spectrum. He loves animals and has been learning how to follow directions, instructions, colors,numbers,body parts,same and different, how to communicate with the mini horses, and so much more. He also loves the goats and really is looking forward to working with the bug horses. We will see him weekly to continue working,learning and growing with the us of our mini horses and other farm animals.

Monday's are always good with our St.Madeline Sophia center group. All 4 have been learning,executing, and doing g great teamwork. I have loved seeing them learn and with their confidence, courage and communication skills. Love that they are learning how to correctly work through an obstacle and learning skills to cope when feeling nervous and unsure.

AJ and Melissa visited Ivy Park at Sabre Springs today, and it was so great. AJ surprised many of the residents, staff, and family members as we went from floor to floor to see all the residents. He was my little "turkey" ❤️

Bruce did really well today once he was able to take a minute and get focused. He worked with AJ with a few redirection and reminders. He used his words more with prompting and was able to self soothe more. We worked on numbers abc's and days of the week.

Geri and Alivia had a new friend come today and loved their time with her. Lauren is from South Carolina and grew up with horses. Since being in California, she has not been around them alot. Her and her husband are on the baby making journey and need extra support, so she is coming out to help learn ways to cope, relax,breath and be in the moment with our animals. We are excited to be with her on this journey.

Our group from Unyeway Incorporated Chula Vista was out today, and they all worked hard cleaning stalls,exercising horses,grooming them, and helping each other with positive vibes.

Diego was out today for his weekly session. I am so happy to share he lead Tori with both hands almost 70 percent of the time, he remembered to take a step and wait for Tori to step up and down, and he was more focused on grooming her and not rushing.

Our Monday work group was out today from St. Madeleine Sophie's Center . They all 4 have grown each week with confidence, courage and respect for themselves and the animals. They are working well together to accomplish different tasks,seeing a task needs to be done and taking initiative to get it done. They are calmer,working slower while grooming and asking questions.

Kayla was out today for her 8th week of her work program, and I have to say I am so proud of her for being able to maintain control while leading all 4 mini horses, she is able to get 2 stalls cleaned with in the timer and she is able to take and follow directions and complete independently with less help. 4 more weeks to go.
