We have a newly remodeled treatment room available for rent at our clinic.

842 Holistic is the collective where Uptown Acupuncture & Dancing Hands Bodywork reside, among other businesses.

The room has new paint, new blinds, new outlets, dimmer for can lights in ceiling and new sound paneling on the back of the door. Room is 12’ 6” long and 6’ 7” wide. Room is painted a light grey.

Perfect for an acupuncturist, massage therapist, psychologist, esthetician or Lash Tech. Parking is available under the building or on the street for clients. There is central A/C, a large reception area and a back patio area. Although we are all independent practitioners, we enjoy a holistic and collaborative friendly atmosphere.

We will soon have a website, 842Holistic.com with hyperlinks to all the Practitioners that wish to be listed.

$600/month including internet/utilities/bottle water service/ large shared bathroom & common lobby/reception area.

As a massage therapist, I consider it an amazing honor to work with people the way I do.  Together we share an incredibly unique experience of intimacy.  As my client settles in to the safe space they feel themselves in, I can feel the busyness of their day being released as their nervous system begins to calm and the tension in their muscles begin to soften…. As relaxation deepens and they begin to really feel “held”, they are able to allow themselves to surrender on a deeper level.  I can feel their mind relaxing too.  As their mind releases “control”, their body tension completely melts away… and when their mind “re-engages”, a level of tension often “re-emerges”….. it’s a fascinating dance! I actually am able to sense when my client “is busy thinking”! When the thinking mind is activated, there is an activation of tension in the body tissue and when they release that thinking, dropping instantly into feeling, the unwinding of tension that spontaneously occurs is remarkable!  The other thing is….. the more I release all sense of “agenda” or “effort-ing” or “trying to change” or “fix” anything in their body, the more my client releases their sense of “wanting to help” or “anticipate” or “understand” …. It is in this beautiful space of mutually trusting and allowing, that the wisdom of the body is able to “come alive”.  My intention is to be completely present and to “connect and listen” to what their body is allowing me to see and feel so that I am able to respond in a way that helps facilitate a new sensation of spaciousness and freedom as tension unwinds.

Hanging out with my guitar today is making me happy! I’d love to find out where I would find myself if I actually played a little bit everyday…. Music is such a gift in life! I’m sure that I’ll always feel like a complete beginner but I’m grateful that I have music and learning the guitar as one of my life long pursuits that I can return to again and again. What hobbies bring you joy that you’d love to spend more time pursuing?

Life is sweet when you are able to take a Siesta (or 2) every day with the light of the afternoon sun warming you as it wanes! I’m experiencing that this week as Covid finally caught up with me…. All the busy activities of life came to a grinding halt when I tested positive last Tuesday. Luckily for me, I’ve been experiencing fairly mild symptoms. Feeling grateful that I have a Beautiful outdoor garden area to spend my days in and family who will cook all my meals for me…. Oh, and that I have a isolation buddy (our kitty Badger) …. Getting through quarantine life! And very much Looking forward to bouncing back, jamming on work and getting on with summer celebrations….
