This holiday season purchase delicious, fresh baked pies and cakes to support a great cause! From November 1st to December 30th, Oakmont residents, friends, and family can select from a variety of decadent desserts made by an Oakmont Chef.

A portion of the proceeds from each sale will benefit organizations that advocate for a cure to Alzheimer's. These desserts make a great addition to any holiday party!

When the weather kept us indoors, we got creative!
Instead of going outside, we transformed our hallways into an Art Museum Tour and then had lunch. Our Traditions residents enjoyed strolling through the building, exploring the different paintings, and sharing their unique perspectives on the artwork. It turned into a wonderful day of conversation, creativity, and connection!

Today we had fun making a few tie-dye shirts! This creative activity sparked wonderful conversations as we reminisced about the 1960s and shared memories of what life was like during that time.

📸 Through Our Eyes Photography
Earlier this week, a few of our Traditions residents participated in our Through Our Eyes Photography activity. The theme was Nature & Trees, and each resident captured something that caught their eye. When asked what made their photos special, the most common answers were: “It’s so beautiful” and “I love the colors of nature.”

It was a wonderful way to see the world through their perspective and celebrate the simple beauty around us.

🍖 Men of Oakmont Outing
The Men of Oakmont enjoyed a delicious trip to Phil’s BBQ, and it was a huge hit! Everyone had a fantastic time and is already looking forward to the next outing. Thank you to our BOD William and MD Mason for making memories with them.

Today we visited one of San Diego’s best-kept treasures — The Chicken Pie Shop, established in 1938. The food was hearty, comforting, and truly tasted just like grandma would make! It was a wonderful experience enjoyed by all.

We had a wonderful time at our very first Book Club meeting! Residents in Assisted Living and Traditions joined in. Our current read is Anne of Green Gables, and we are already enjoying lively discussions together. Once we finish the book, we’re excited to gather again to watch the movie adaptation and bring the story to life on screen.

We can’t wait to see everyone at our next meeting!
