We provide quality services that advance well-being in children, youth, and their families!

+We are the largest provider of before and after school care in the San Diego Unified School District (48 schools). We also provide on site before and after licensed care on an additional 17 sites, including infant and toddler care.
+We provide juvenile diversion services in Mira Mesa, East County and Southeast San Diego.
+We provide parent, child and family counseling in Mira Mesa and the East County.
+We provide Parent Partner services in collaboration with the Southeast County Mental Health clinic.

🎉 Celebrating 5 Years at Harmonium with Arvin Poblete! 🎉

From joining online during the height of the pandemic, Harmonium welcomed Arvin to PrimeTime in 2020. Shortly after, he became a Site Director at Rolando Park. His journey has been rooted in growth, community, and heart.

What started as a desire to work with kids turned into a passion for building strong programs, meaningful relationships, and a supportive team culture. Along the way, incredible mentors, encouraging supervisors, and life experiences helped shape the leader he is today. Becoming a Site Director stands as a proud milestone—rebuilding programs, strengthening teams, and serving as a trusted point of contact for students and families.

Looking ahead, the focus remains on fostering partnerships, supporting communities, and continuing to provide quality services for children, youth, and their families—because Harmonium truly feels like family. ❤

With an attitude of gratitude and a positive spirit, the impact—big and small—continues.

From starting as an assistant to becoming a Site Director, Carina has become the heart of her school community. We’re celebrating 10 amazing years of dedication, creativity, and care at Harmonium 💛

She’s built a space where kids feel safe, seen, and excited to stay until the very last minute—so much so that former students come back just to say hi! From mentoring families and volunteering at school events to creating cozy classrooms (with a little Harry Potter magic ✨), her impact reaches far beyond the program.

🌟 Staff Spotlight: 20 Years of Service at Harmonium, with Laura Varney 🌟

From student to leader— a journey filled with growth, impact, and purpose! 💙

At just 18 years old, Laura began her Harmonium journey after her mom spotted a newspaper ad and said, “This would be perfect for you.” She was right.

At the time, Laura aspired to become a teacher, and the role felt like a perfect fit—aligning with her career aspirations while accommodating her academic pursuits in college.

Having once attended the 6 to 6 program (now PrimeTime) as a student, it already felt like home—and it quickly became a lifelong purpose.

Starting as an Activity Leader, the journey continued through roles including Site Director, Assistant Program Manager, and now Program Manager, supporting PrimeTime programs across 33 schools. Along the way, Harmonium evolved from basic after-school care to intentional, impactful programming focused on social-emotional learning, enrichment, and academics.
