Having grown up on the South Shore of Boston, this video was not only a trip down memory lane for me, but it gave me a new perspective, as well. It is loaded with Old World photos of Boston Massachusetts. I am familiar with, or have spent time in so many of the incredibly ornate buildings shown (Trinity Church, The State House, the ornate theaters, the Boston Armory… etc. but Ive never seen or thought of them, or Boston, for that matter, with such awe!
We used to run our winter track meets in the old Armory, for example. I never appreciated how amazing it was.
This, of course, is true for most old cities in the NE, from Detroit to NYC. I just happen to have a special affinity for Boston.
