I think I am standing on him? I tried to visit my dad’s grave this morning (it’s been over 30 years since we laid him here) But with the snow and ice I couldn’t find the stone. Thanks to google coordinates and my husbands navigation I’m standing on him I think? Sorry dad…. I tried! My dad would be giggling…

We spend our lives attached to “what we know” . We stay attached to all the wrong things only to end up here.

Gone. Literally.

💗I lived in Washington DC area for first 32 years of my life! I do not miss living on the east coast 🥶but always feels good to come back & visit (and then head back west lol… I am a warm climate gal!)

💗 Brooks and I met while we were both living in San Diego BUT he went to the naval academy and I went to university of MD so we both have many memories back here in Maryland

💗 In Annapolis the MUST are crab cakes, fudge . We had both

💗When w/ Brooks USNA visit and seeing your COACH (who still is coaching swim there) is also a must! Kinda cool seeing him back in his habitat 🏊🌊 Brooks is 90% chlorine!

💗My mom turns 80 tomorrow (yes on Valentine’s Day) so the last slide on this carousel sums up her advice for us

She’s healing and even thriving many days on the otherside of stage 4 colon cancer. And…. She doesn’t hate the cancer. She feels it’s been her biggest teacher and guide

This conversion on today is not just for those with cancer or those who have family members navigating it. It’s a conversation for all midlife women about people pleasing, judgement and self beat up .

Comment KION 👇 It has been 7 months since my l5 S1 disc replacement! And hopefully that’s my last injury / surgery 🤣 bc if you’ve been here with me for a while you know that I’ve had my share of injuries and surgeries !!!!

Recovery was always easy peasy but at 54 it definitely hits a bit different

And I’m soooo much more appreciative of muscle now- the more the better. The easier everything become. I wish I could tell my younger self to add more!!

I am hyper focused now on maintaining the muscle I have but also adding more now (which gets harder as we age)

Where I used to use BCAA’s I’ve now switched to use all nine amino‘s in KION.

I want all 9 aminos and I can use all the help I can get! I get tired of stuffing in meat- this is such an easy add on (I just mix them in my water)

Muscle does not “weigh more” (5 lbs of muscle and 5 lbs of fat both weigh 5 lbs on the scale) However… muscle acts and looks very different in our bodies.

“Weight loss” is a general term.
FAT loss makes sense.

Maintain muscle- it’s harder to come by as we age!
