The deeper we go within, the greater the opportunity to reconcile our relationship with our ego and if I didn’t loose you with that word alone, there was probably an cringed inward because ‘ego’ has been used to criticize and judge your integrity and personality.

So, let’s for a moment, remove our judgement and refer to ego with neutrality: It’s part of the human design, we all have one, we’re not meant to get rid of it, it’s not ‘good’ or ‘bad’ but it is perhaps like a misinformed child that needs to be updated as we evolve.

The way the ego updates is by seeing what has held it from growth: the limitations that our mind holds, how we identify, the beliefs we’ve picked-up and the fears we’ve developed because of them.

If you can remind yourself that Awareness alone begins a shift from unconscious to conscious, the rest of the journey is how lovingly you can practice making choices from each new state of Awareness.

Initially, when our Spiritual Ego is on board, it’s sort of “down for the cause”. There’s an inward cooperation with an expectation of if I do this work long enough, I’ll become worthy. (Key words “become worthy”)This seems to be the trouble with taking the course of ‘healing’. There’s always something else that prevents you from accepting you’re already enough and that’s how the motive to heal ends up trapping you- It’s an intelligent way that your mind justifies needing to be fixed. As long as you’re stuck on fixing yourself, you’re always going to come up short.

Love has a different approach. It says,
I accept you as you are.
I choose you as you are.
You’re enough for me as you are.
You are worthy as you are.
I’m willing to love you as you are.

People say, “It can’t be that easy” and I say, “It’s not that easy but it is that simple.”

“A lot of us have built our security on consistency- on being who we thought we were and projecting it outward. Is it possible that you, at your stage of life, can allow for a discontinuity- to allow a shift of consciousness into another way of being? Or is your commitment to consistency greater than your commitment to Truth? It’s an interesting one. You will notice that the entire circle of people around you count on consistency. They don’t count on Truth, they count on consistency. What you can offer them, and yourself finally, is a reaching for the Truth. That becomes part of your baseline and in the course of it, it may not be consistent.”

At first, this read Who am I without…
’Without’ I wouldn’t be who I am now. I don’t want to be without, I want to be beyond.

A quote I recently heard:
Are you willing to give up who you are for who you will become? (unknown)

That’s the most challenging part of metamorphosis: letting go of the identity that got you this far.

It makes me realize grief is part of the process. Grieving doesn’t mean I regret, it means I’m honoring what is passing...and part of that is morning.

They say the🦋turns into slush in its chrysalis to completely restructure its DNA 🧬

We awe at the butterfly. We awe at the Phoenix after it’s rebirth and forget what it’s been through.

Many will cling to suffering to avoid the unknown. Those brave enough to journey beyond return to show others it’s safe to cross over.

Yet, the journey is the same. You morn the 🐛, you we’ve the chrysalis where you drop all that you know to move beyond.

Trust doesn’t need to be passive (unless you want it to be). There’s a way to actively Trust (without creating resistance):

1.) WHAT vs. HOW
Understand that Trust is Accepting WHAT is meant to be (as Divine Will) and that your influence is in HOW it plays out, or more acutely, how you experience what plays out (known as Free Will).

This first step moves you past begging, pleading, negotiating, and bargaining with God or the Universe for something to be or not be in existence.

Divine Will is the Higher aspect of you that oversees your journey. It makes sure you experience what You planned to on a Soul Level.
Free Will are the choices you identify with that stem from your mind.
When Free Will and Divine Will are harmonious, we call it Co-Creating, Flow or ‘following our intuition’.

If you’re in a predicament that’s out of your control, prayer, meditation and energy work are method that can positively influence your experience.

However, when circumstances are dyer, we often believe that pain and suffering are caused by WHAT we experience. We forget that an experience itself is emotion-based and completely subjective.

2.) RECLAIM THE WORD PRAYER!
Despite religious/cultural beliefs associated with ‘Prayer’, it’s a powerful word that belongs to you! It’s your intimate and personal connection with God (another powerful (trigger) word to reclaim).

If you believe that God= Unconditional Love and YOU are that Love then you are also God.

If Prayer= deep connection with God then prayer is deep connection with YOU.

Prayer, meditation and energy work are similar just as Love and passion are. Yet, imagine if you only said, ‘l’m passionate about you’ instead of ‘I love you’. It resonates differently. That’s the significance of reclaiming the word Prayer.

I work with these affirmations everyday

Here’s how:
1.) I’m triggered
2.) I become aware that I’m triggered
3.) I go within and find my breath
4. ) *I stay with my breath* as I repeat one or more affirmations until the trigger stops
5.) I choose a different response

In order for an affirmation to work, your body has to connect and respond to it. Keep your affirmation simple. Remember most core traumas happen between 0-7yo. You didn’t have fancy words then so chances are, your inner child doesn’t need fancy words now.

Triggers exist to process trauma. Trauma is an interrupted emotion that got stored until it was ready to be felt through and out the body. Emotions are energy and energy is designed to move!

You don’t need to mentally rehash your trauma. All you need is to be in your body as it releases through you and we can do that by breathing.

When energy is released it also needs to be replaced and that’s where affirmations come in. Gradually, you are reprogramming a conditioned response.

What happens is, you become less and less ‘triggered’ by the exact same conditions. You realize that triggers and trauma have less to do with others behavior and your environment and more to do with the way your body respond to it and if it’s coming from within you then it can be changed within you!
Does it take time, yes!
Does it take practice, yes!
Does it take commitment, yes!
Does it take believing in yourself, yes!
And that’s an extremely empowering place to be!

Love is a brave and powerful choice.
