Don't miss this Past Guest & Volunteer Spotlight: 👏Rick Valencia is one of a kind👏 He stayed at Bannister Family House caring for his brother during a difficult time in their lives.
And for the past several years, in memory of his brother, he makes sure our families always have food on their plate, clean clothes to wear, and toys for every kiddo.
He stops by several times a year with an astounding amount of food, toys, supplies, and clothes for all the guests under our roof.
Rick thinks about all the food and supplies that he needed during his stay, and he chats with current guests to figure out how he can best help them now.
Then he's off to work, chatting up dozens of grocery stores, theme parks, restaurants, and toy stores in the SoCal area. He tells them about us and compels them to give, often by negotiating matching gifts with the owners. Sometimes he hosts fundraisers hours away from Family Houses!
We could not be more thankful for all the big and small ways he helps our - the world needs more people like Rick. Let's all show him our appreciation!
